As the sun comes out, and the shops open, Link is sleeping peacefully in his bed. It seems like every morning, people seem to forget about Link; maybe because they don't think clearly when they're tired. Once Zelda realizes Link isn't with her, she's at the academy. She looks worried and prays that Link will wake up and hurry for roll call.

Link opens an eye. "Oh no! Did I sleep in again?" He wonders. Link gets up fast, changes into his oversized, blue sweater with brown pants, boots and runs as fast as he can, to the academy.

Next to Zelda, there's the popular, annoying boy who seems to have a crush on her. His name's James and he says, "I guess your 'brother' isn't coming." Zelda has a mean stare and tells him Link is running late. James snorts, "Sure, it's not like he didn't wake up in time. Knights should be on time everywhere, no matter what!" Zelda looks away, "Don't pick on him because he has a disability!" Suddenly, Link arrives at the door. "Ah, Link, late again? Be sure to wake up in time and get ready next time."

"What?! How come he gets off the hook every time? I've been late once and got in so much trouble!"

The leader turns around to see the famous, noisy James with a sour face. Link backed away. "Link is different, James. Don't complain." James whispered to Zelda, "Link is so spoiled. He's just a mute, he still has his hearing and legs. He can get up just fine." Zelda whispered back, " Spoiled? No he isn't!"

After the class, Zelda and Link followed each other to the hideout that no one knew about. They sat down and heard a thunk. Zelda, being the adventurous one, wanted to see what was in there. Link followed, slowly, behind her. Zelda, urged Link is come faster. Link tried to speed up, but his fear of what could've been down there slowed him down. Finally, Link sped up but when he did, he slid downhill and when he got to Zelda, she slid down a deep hole. He mouthed, "ZELDA!" but nothing came out. He tried screaming, yelling, shouting for help. Anything that could get anyone down to help. He ran up the slope and went for Zelda's dad. When he came, Link tried explaining what was wrong and it took a while to figure out what he was trying to tell him, finally when Link started sobbing, her father just asked Link to show him where to go. They found the hole and when they got Zelda out, they couldn't hear her heartbeat. She was gone. Link was so sad, he loved Zelda more than all the flowers in the world, than any mother could love a husband, or than even any James could love a Zelda. He had never been so sad and tired in his life, but he didn't care. He didn't care if 1000 swarms of bees came at him head on, he didn't care if he fell out of the world, he didn't even care about James pestering him anymore; none of that mattered now that Zelda was gone. No one, no thing, no feeling had meaning anymore to him. She was dead, all thanks to him.
