Link was exhausted. He'd been running for hours. "I think we've lost them." Link didn't listen; he wanted to run away, far away, to a place where he could forget about the death of Zelda. "Link! She stood in front of him so he couldn't run anymore."
"What?"
"Why're you running? We're safe for now. You need your rest."
"I need to run."
"Running isn't an escape from life. If you run, you waste your life." She pushed him down on the ground and told him to get some rest. They'll travel more in the morning. Link didn't have a choice; seeing as how if he ran, she'd stop him. He closed his eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep.
Link had an unusual dream that night. He saw Zelda, standing in the middle of a black abyss. "Zelda? ZELDA!!" He ran closer, but it seemed as he was just making her farther away from him. Soon, he stopped. He realized he couldn't get any closer to her and gave up. He looked down and as he did, he saw her gold and pink boots appear in front of him. He looked up and was surprised to see her in front of him. "Zelda!" She hushed him.
"Don't forget me and please.... please don't forget your role in the world. Don't worry about me all the time, I'm safe. You have to protect the ones who NEED protecting."
At the end of Zelda's sentence, Link woke up.
