Row immediately shoved Lucas into the house and took him to the safety shelter in the basement.
"Wait the four bells... doesn't that mean we're being attacked or something!?" cried Lucas.
"SHHH! You're giving me a headache! Also it's not smart to talk when being attacked!!" Row shushed him.
Caleb and Katie were already in the shelter. Katie was crying and Caleb just looked very confused and... it looked like he was concentrating very hard.
"Mom... I'm scared," Katie cried into her mom's arms.
"Shhh Katie it's alright. Come on your 15. You can be brave," her mother whispered.
"Yeah Katie. Come on. You don't want me to beat you and being braver do you?" Jake (Katie's 19 year old brother) whispered trying to cheer up Katie.
"Of course I don't."

When everyone's eyes were getting heavy they heard noises upstairs. They could hear someone walking towards them.
"It's okay. Come out now. It was a false alarm," said what sounded like the head guard.
Katie was about to climb the ladder when Caleb said, "Katie wait. Can we really trust this guy?"
Katie stopped and then Lucas said, "Do we have any other choice?"
"You don't have the right to speak pretty boy," Caleb growled.
"Wait... who is that?" asked Katie's parents.
"I don't remember seeing him... and I guard 85% of the day," said Jake.
"We don't have time to explain. Jake do you think we can trust the guy up there?" Row asked in a whisper.
Lucas nodded, "Yes. He sounds like my boss."
Row nodded and opened the trapdoor letting everyone out. The only person who wouldn't leave... was Caleb.
"Caleb come on," Row rushed Caleb.
"I'm not too sure Row. I don't trust him. He SOUNDS like the head guard but... how can we be sure? It makes no sense for a false alarm. Not with Lucas or the matches," Caleb glared at Lucas.
"Well then you stay down here you coward. The rest of us will be up there figuring all this out!" Row snapped at Caleb.
Caleb hesitated and soon followed the others upstairs. Caleb found everyone... laughing.
"I'm terrible sorry for the false alarm. We will make sure it doesn't happen again," the head guard said as soon as he was done laughing.
"I'm glad you came to join us Caleb," Row smiled.
"Did you tell Katie's parents? And does the head guard know?" Caleb asked.
"Yes. They know. The head guard never asked. He just talked to him like every other villager. Weird right?"
"Really weird."

Later that night Caleb couldn't stop think about Lucas, or the matches, or the false alarm. He tried his best to ignore it but he couldn't. There was DEFINITELY something going on, thought Caleb. He was definitely on to something.

Lucas had to sleep in the living room but he didn't mind. Row slept with Katie like usual. As Row was laying in bed she kept thinking about Lucas. Where did he come from? Where's his family? How come he didn't seem at all worried or scared?
The next morning Katie's parents sent out Katie, Lucas, and Row to get food from the bakery. Icre only had a limited supply of crops. There was no sun for them to grow any. They had have over 50 billion of every food that involved crops that were kept in a lock which allowed the food to stay fresh.
When they arrived at the bakery Katie went in and Lucas noticed Row staying outside the bakery.
    "Are you coming...?" asked Lucas.
    "No. I'm waiting outside."
    "Why?"
"Let's just say... I'm banned... because I borrowed some of their bread..."
"Aww. You're a thief aren't you?" Lucas sneered.
"What!? No! I said I borrowed it! I never stole any food!"
"You can't borrow food Row," Lucas chuckled.
    "Whatever."

When Katie came out she looked furious. Katie also still had her money and no food.
    "What happened Kat?" Row asked.
"They raised the price! It's too expensive! They said something about low supply!" cried out Katie.
Row looked at Lucas and you could tell she wasn't very happy.
