Introduction
I wrote this song about a year or two ago.. I had an idea for a movie or a short story, or a Disney Pixar Production, no high hopes here.. it was an updated version of the ugly duckling, but instead of ugly, you get where I'm going. I had the idea of continuing the story beyond where the original had ended. Where the once 'ugly' duckling would now be a beautiful swan, as she would be told. See when you grow up hearing one thing from so many people, you begin to believe them. I thought it would be interesting to see how she would've gone from feeling the ugliest to becoming beautiful– would she still feel the same, if not would she learn how to feel that change. But I am lazy, it's a small idea with a big concept. Damn I shouldn't have written my idea.... eh well now I can say I came up with it first if anything comes up later. I'm sure someone else has had to have come up with an idea like that. That's how I feel with all my ideas. Anyway, when I do take the time to write stories, I often love to write music for them. Mostly for myself to be even more eager to write the story lol. So this was written as the mother of the lovely duckling's perspective.

Lovely

Hush my baby, don't you cry
You won't be alone tonight

You told me all your misery
So as of now, it's history
Tomorrow you will be alright
Long as you hold on tight

It's so lovely you love me
Oh my lovely, I love thee
You're so lovely, I'm so lucky
To hold you like I do
Oh my lovely, I love you

Hush my darling, don't say a word
Pain is temporary though I know it hurts

You told me all your misery
So as of now, it's all history
Tomorrow you will be just fine
Long as you hold onto me tight

It's so lovely you love me
Oh my lovely, I love thee
You're so lovely, I'm so lucky
To know you like I do
Oh my lovely, I love you

So with you my love, I hope that you know
That my love for you will always grow
Though sometimes love is hard to show
That's why you let them know before they go

'Cause it's so lovely you love me
Oh my lovely, I love thee
You're so lovely, I'm so lucky
To love you like I do
Oh my lovely, I love you

My lovely, I do
