The Heart And Soul Of The Sea\\ Thomas Nickerson x reader (discontinued)

The day of the Journey.

A week has now passed and you had all of your things packed in a suitcase. You of course packed your bath room needs, extra clothes, art supplies for your entertainment and other travel needs.It was time to leave and you were saying your good byes. "I love you Mom. I will miss you, both of you. I put a small gift on your beds. And if I don't come back... That's ok. Because it was my  decision, my fault. So don't blame it on yourselves. I love you both dearly and pray for me to be able to come back...please." You were all on the verge of tears. 

Suddenly your mom engulfs you into a hug, Audrey slowly joins in. You then grab your suit case and decide it's time to leave. "Hey ma?" You asked. "Yes, N/N?" She answered. "Can I borrow $10?" You responded. "But your leaving. You don't need money on sea now do you?" Your Mom chuckled. She then gives you the $10 and you say goodbye.... again. You quickly glance at the clock over Audrey's shoulder. You realised that you are running late and that the crew must be waiting. You quickly say bye (again) and ran to the nearest book shop. You entered the store, you spot the counter and a person behind it. "Excuse me miss,but do you have any books on; rope tying, survival on water and other Sailing related books?" You questioned the store clerk. "Yes we do, isle 4." She answered. "Would you like some assistance? You look like your in a rush." 

"Oh that would be wonderful, thank you!" You accepted her offer of assistance.

You quickly grab the books you needed, plus a book series "Percy Jackson" and hurried over to the counter. "That'll be $15.95 please." The store clerk stated. "Oh. I'm...uh kinda $5.95 short..." You chuckled awkwardly. 

"Where are you heading of to miss?" She inquired. 

"I'm on an expedition. With Mr. Owen chase. And I'm new to the crew and am need of these books to learn and to help pass the time." You declared. Her eyes were as wide as the full moon. "I-uh didn't mean to-um sound disrespectful o-or anything," She mumbled. "These books are on the house. I hope you have a safe voyage." Now it was your turn to be shocked. You stood there with your eyes wide and your mouth practically hitting the floor. "W-Wow...Thank you..." She packed everything up in a nice bag. You said your thanks repeatedly and ran out of the store. 

You then ran back home quickly writing a note to your mom and quickly  slipped the note and the ten dollar bill through the mail slot on your door. And ran over to the docks, knowing they'll be there to say farewell. (How many times did I say goodbye again?)

"Hi mom, 

Looks like I didn't need the ten dollars after all. I just wanted to say good bye, haha again. I miss you already (even though I haven't gone that far out to sea yet.) 

I will try to stay alive.

You ran at the speed of lightning to get to the docks as quickly as you could. Though... with a suitcase weighing you down might slow you down a bit.You just arrived at the docks to see every one packing the last of the suitcases and supplies we needed for the  expedition. "Right on time." You thought whilst trying to catch your breath. There was a crowd waiting for the Essex to sail. You scanned the area to find a familiar face, you both Lock eyes and he smiles at you. You both made your way towards each other to greet one another. "Hey, Thomas!" 

"Hey, Y/n! You got all your stuff?" Thomas asked. "Yup! Where do I put it?"

"Next to mine, over there where the suitcases and luggage is."

"Well... I don't really know which ones yours now do I?" You joked.

"R-right, follow me." He awkwardly chuckled, motioning you to follow him. There were a few people surrounding the suitcases due to them doing their jobs.
