That special lunch was basically a welcome home party for me, not that I'm really home but I kept that to myself. They went to all that effort and invited a fair few people to introduce me to, to make me feel more at home in Storybrooke. It was nice of them but I stuck with Henry the whole time.
I asked him about his father, my half brother and he was more than happy to tell me about him. He also filled me in about all the different citizens of Storybrooke and their stories. I remember a few but most of it is a blur. My head was spinning for most of the afternoon and I retired early to get some rest.
That was over 2 weeks ago however. I'm currently being given a tour of the apartment I've been given. Henry needed his room back and I wanted my own space. My father was beginning to smother me.
"Here's your room key. You are right across the hall from Snow and Charming's apartment. If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to ask me," says the elderly lady everyone calls Granny.
"Thank you so much," I say sincerely to the woman and offer her a kind smile that she returns instantly. She leaves with a wave goodbye leaving me alone.
I enter my room and close the door behind me. I face my room with a smile on my face, happy to have a space of my own after have to share with Emma and my Father for over 2 weeks. They didn't mind but they need time to themselves and don't need me living in there space. Especially since Emma used to live with her parents and son, so she'd told me.
Oh, Emma's son, apparently is my nephew Henry. Emma fell in love with my half brother Baelfire, or Neal as he was known in this world. I say was because Neal unfortunately died few years ago. I really would have liked to have met him and to learn about our mother from him.
I've so far been lucky enough to avoid the Crocodile as, according to Hook, he is in this strange world as well. I'm not looking forward to the day when I do meet him as I doubt I'll be received very well, since I'm the love child that his wife had with a charming pirate she fell for.
Since I first arrived here, Emma and Hook have been teaching me the ways of this world. I've picked up things rather swiftly, as I've always been a fast learn but the technologies of this realm still baffle me as well as some of the fashions.
I've decided to ditch my usual attire, as my clothes were stained with blood and they don't sell pirate attire in any of the shops along the main road. Well, they do but they look ridiculous and are only costumes here. Any female pirate clothing are dresses that reveal too much and are barely long enough to cover my ass. They aren't even enough to class and underclothes.
Emma and Hook took my shopping shortly after I arrived for clothes of this world. I've chosen a selection black and dark blue pants Emma called jeans. I've chosen a series of shirts that are skin tight, which I like and I believe are more practical, in a variety of colors and sleeve lengths. I've also chosen a pair of black lace up boots that go half way up my calves and a black jacket that looks to be made of the same leather material as Emma's. Emma also purchased me undergarment while we were out. They are small compared to what ladies in the Enchanted Forest wear but are a lot more practical, much like a lot of the clothing in this world.
I walk over to my bed and collapse on the soft surface. I grin to myself and curl up on my side, relishing in the seclusion and how comfortable this bed is. My thoughts wander to Peter and the boys and I wish, with every fiber of my being, that they are alright. I miss them all dearly and I wish they were here with me. Especially Peter. I miss having him always with me, by my side, protecting me. I sound incredibly needy but I can't help myself.
A knock sounds at the door, drawing me out of my thought. I drag myself over to the door, opening it to find my father and Emma on the other side holding a cardboard boxes labelled 'Kyla'.
