We managed to get most of our boxes in the house. My bed was the first thing that was moved into my room. I had it placed right under the skylight so that I could look at the stars...or thunderclouds since that is what was happening. It was thundering really bad. Not that I minded. I was sitting on my bed getting ready to facetime Isabel. I haven't spoken to her since we left Chicago. She probably wouldn't pick up since it's almost three in the morning. It was almost a minute before the call went through. It took a while for it to connect but I can hear her shuffle around in the background.

"You bitch." I said in an amused tone. She let out one of her contagious giggles and cleared her throat.
"I was instructed not to tell you anything about the new house. How'd  you like your new room?"

"It's huge Izzie! You could've told me that at least!"

"Wait! Hold on, I'm coming over." She whispered hanging up.

"Wait-" I rolled my eyes and took my phone off the charger. I was so excited to see her. I didn't get a chance to see the backyard yet since most of the evening we've been moving boxes and getting the kitchenware where it's supposed to be.

The house maybe new, but all houses are creepy at night. I accidentally psyched myself out on the way to the kitchen where the patio door was. Stumbling over package tape and packing peanuts. In the distance, I spot a tuft of red hair running up the deck.

"[NAME]!!!" She shouted opening her arms wide as I swung open the door. We nearly fell when she tackled me. I was pretty sure she was hugging me as tight as I was hugging her.

"I missed you so much! Oh! I have so much to tell you!" She squealed closing and locking the door behind her.

"Shh, lower your voice girl. Mom and dad are sleeping." I whispered grabbing her hand and leading her out of the dark kitchen. Isabel took a running dive towards my bed when we got back upstairs.

"Oh [Name], you're going to love this state. Our university is sooo cool! And I have some friends I want you to meet this weekend!" She said jumping up and down in her sitting position. I sat on the end of it, moving my new laptop out of her way.

"When did you get this?" She questioned grabbing it by the screen gently.

"Yesterday."

"God, you're spoiled."

"We're spoiled." I giggled. "I have yet to see your house."

"Oh [Name]it's sooo nice. I know I've been living here for the passed three months but I just can't stop being excited. Dad loves his new man cave. He's been planning a barbeque for the longest. And-OH!"  She gasped.

"I gotta invite my friends! You have to meet them [Name]!" She squealed. I smiled at her enthusiasm. She fished her phone out of her yellow hoodie while I started looking for a movie to watch on Netflix.

"These guys have been taking care of me since I've been here." She said putting her phone in my face. There was a silver haired man with messy hair and very light eyes and a man with dark hair covered with up with a beanie and grey eyes from what I can tell from the picture.

"This is Farlan and this is Levi." She said tapping the screen.

"Hm..they're cute." I said giving her phone back. She looked at me with a grossed out expression.

"Um, I don't see them in that light," she laughed, "they're like brothers to me."

"When did you meet them?"

"Well...um...okay [Name] what I am about to tell you must stay between us. No one can know. Especially our parents." She whispered as she shifted from sitting to laying down next to me. Now I was a bit concerned. She hardly ever spoke like this. Hesitantly, I agreed to keep my mouth shut.

"Okay so one night, when dad was out working, I took the jeep into town to...you know...get some things. So when I met up with the dealer, he gave me what I paid for but when I started to leave he followed me. At first I thought that he was a narc but he seemed to have other plans." She grimaced.

"Izzie-"

"I'm not finished," She interrupted putting a finger up to my lips, "I thought that if I walked to the jeep, he'd just have someone follow me all the way back here so I started walking down busy streets to shake him but he just walked faster-"

"Where the hell did you meet this guy?" I questioned. I was getting angry at her for being this reckless but at least she's safe. Otherwise she probably wouldn't be here to tell me her story.

"One of the landscaper's sons. He told me that he had the best bud from California, Oregon and Colorado. So I thought, you know, why not? We need new sources." She mumbled sheepishly. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"Izzie, we find sources together."

"I know but... but I needed a blunt so badly," she laughed, "But anyway, the guy started to up his pace and at that point I was sprinting."

Isabel was putting me on edge with her story. Every twist and turn made my stomach drop.

"So after running through like the fifth alley, I just barged my way in this building. It was an old bank, I think but it looked like someone made it into a little hideaway. And just before I took another step, Farlan busted me. I ran so hard, I couldn't even hold myself up. I thought it was a set up because that guy that was chasing me just casually knocked on the door like he knew who Farlan was."

"And that was when Levi came out. And when I tell you, I was scared out of my mind [Name] I thought they were going to help but the guy just took one look at Levi's face, apologized and left." She giggled.

"And?"

"What do you mean 'and'? I finished my story. That's how I met Levi and Farlan."

"Izzie, you could've been killed. And that really sounded like a set up."

"What do you mean a set up?"

"I mean, that it sounds like the landscaper's son probably tipped off the dealer with more info than what you probably gave him."

She tapped her chin with her index finger, looking off into the skylight as if she were thinking.

"I...honestly didn't think about that. It never really occurred to me." She muttered.

"Oh Izzie." I said placing my hand against my forehead.

"But they're really nice and super cool! You'll like them. Also... Levi just so happens to be a dealer. So we don't have to worry about finding other sources."

"Isab-"

"[Name], you will like them. And I'm sure they'll like you too. I already established to them that we're practically sisters. So I'm pretty sure that they won't be jerks." She said. I smiled at her enthusiasm. I could give it a chance. They look like they're pretty decent men.

"Well as long as they don't try anything." I said fixing up my pillow for bed.

"Oh they won't! I promise you. I'll facetime them in the morning. They're probably sleep." She said yawning.

"[Name] we haven't had a sleepover in such a long time."

"Well, let's mark this down as the first sleepover at our new house." I smiled closing my eyes. And just like we were little girls on a school night, we held each others hands and went to sleep for the rest of the night.
