The scent of bacon filled the air. I tried to sleep in a little longer but the smell of breakfast was too overpowering. I cracked open my right eye. Isabel was gone and the door was ajar. That dork. I sat up in bed slowly. My room looked so beautiful in the morning. I had a view of the lake and the boat house. Something pretty to wake up and go to bed to every day. It was kinda cool in the house...or maybe it was just my room. I slipped on Isabel's yellow hoodie and my old bear paw boots and began to make my way downstairs. I heard mom and dad shuffling around in the kitchen. The clanging of a pot or two and the faucet switching on. Mama was making biscuits and bacon. The tv was blaring on in the background.

I saw uncle Terry sitting down next to dad in the family room. Mama and Isabel were in the kitchen talking.

"Hey sleepy head." Dad greated.

"Sweetheart." Uncle Terry joined in. I smiled at everyone giving a soft good morning to them.

"How'd you enjoy your first night in the new house?" Mom asked bending over to open the oven.

"She might as well get used to it. This was just the first night of many." Isabel said stealing a piece of bacon off the plate.

I sneered at her before remembering our little talk that we had last night. I widened my eyes at her and motioned my head towards the hall, hoping that she'd understand what I'm hinting.

She snickered and dusted her hands on her legs.

"Come on." She whispered. We left mama in the kitchen and went into the unfurnished living room. Isabel sat in the middle of the floor and pulled out her phone.

"Hopefully they'll pickup. Levi is usually up around this time anyway."

The dial tone seemed to echo throughout the room even though it was set on low. Dad and uncle Terry were pretty loud, their conversation was about having a barbeque this afternoon.

"What." A deep voice erupted from the phone.

"Good morning big bro!"

Big bro? What the hell? I'm her only metaphorical sibling. Who the gave her the right? She looked at me and smiled in amusement at my annoyed face.

"I can't have more than one sibling [Name]?" She said chuckling. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Aye, let me see this [Name] girl." The voice begged.

"I don't think she wants to see you Levi. See, apparently she's the only sibling I'm allowed to have." She joked.

"Aye, [Name]? I'll see you in person this afternoon?" He implied. His voice was monotone and I couldn't tell if he was confirming or asking a genuine question.

"Um...sure. I guess."

"Well, I'll see you ladies later." He said and hung up the phone.

"Um...okay. So you spoke to them before?" I questioned.

"Well yeah. Dad and uncle Will confirmed that the barbecue was going to be this afternoon. You were still sleeping, so I just called them up."

I rolled my eyes and went back upstairs to get ready.

Clothes were strewn all over the place. I needed to find a decent summer outfit to wear for tonight. I'm a little excited to see what Levi and Farlan are like in person. Levi sounded kind of hot on the other side of the phone this morning.

Isabel was at the coach house getting ready and dad, uncle Terry and mama left and went to the store for the barbeque.
I could wear some high waisted jeans, a pink crop top and my black knit cardigan. Yeah, I think that'll be cute. My cell phone rang, snapping me from my thoughts. It was Isabel facetiming me again.
