Chapter 9

Louis stared curiously at the bubbles in the large bathtub he was sat in. Lou, the prince's caretaker and close friend, poured some water over Louis' head, thoroughly soaking him.

"Washed up from a shipwreck," Lou tisked, "you poor dear. We'll get you nice and clean."

She picked up the sail he had worn and cringed. She hid her disgust with a smile as she turned back to Louis. "I'll just... wash this for you," she suggested, unknown to the fact that Zayn was still hidden among the sheets. She placed the sheets on top of a small table that was near a window. Lou picked up a landline and called for a butler to take away the sheets.

Zayn panicked, scrambling out of the sheets and towards the first open space he could find- the window. He scaled the drain pipe before jumping through the first window he saw. He landed on a countertop with a thud, behind many bottles and containers. Zayn grumbled in pain as he peeked behind the bottles and checked for humans. What he found was much worse. All over the room was sharp knives and dangerous tools. On silver platters, different sea creatures were displayed and garnished with human food. Zayn thought his heart stopped when he noticed three crabs, stuffed and garnished on a three plates.

"Harry," Nick groaned, as he stuffed his pipe from his seat at the dining table, "Be reasonable! People don't just swim around rescuing people in the middle of the ocean and then flitter off into oblivion like-"

"I'm telling you, Nick, they were real!" Harry interrupted, turning away from the window for a moment to look at him, "I'm going to find that person and I'm going to marry them."

A giggle from the hallway caused the two men to look up at the door.

"C'mon, honey!" Lou laughed, "Don't be shy!" As she lightly pushed Louis inside, he took a deep breath and walked towards the prince. He was dressed in the prince's old clothes that were too small for him to wear. He had on a nice white button up shirt and tight fitting black jeans. He rolled up the sleeves and wore a bowtie to look nice. Louis smiled shyly as the prince stared at him, amazed.

"Harry," Nick singsonged, quietly, so Louis couldn't hear, "isn't he a vision?"

Harry ignored him, as he smiled at Louis, widely, and complimented, "You look wonderful."

Louis ducked his head shyly at the compliment, then looked back up at him with his shining blue eyes.

"Come, come," Nick rushed, leading Louis towards the table with a hand on his back, "You must be famished. Let us help you, sir."

Harry scurried to the table and pulled out a chair for Louis to sit in, to which Louis smiled gratefully at. As he took his seat, Louis suddenly recognized the dinglehopper, like the one he'd found in the sunken ship, on the table. He picked it up and began combing through his hair with the contraption until he noticed Harry and Nick looking at him weirdly. He quickly placed down the dinglehopper and looked down at his lap, embarrassed. He looked up, across the table at Nick, who was now holding a match to- a snarfblat! Louis' eyes light up excitedly and Nick took notice.

"Do you like it?" Nick asked, handing over the pipe to Louis, who took it in his hands. "It's a rather old piece, but I prefer using them over-"

He was interrupted suddenly by Louis, who blew into the snarfblat and sent smoke flying into Nick's face. Louis' face burned red, while Lou and Harry burst into laughter.

"Uh, um," Harry coughed, "Sorry, Nick."

"Why, Harry," Lou remarked, "that's the first time I've seen you smile in weeks."
