Protest

Chapter 3.

Ren's POV

I woke up to Nate's door creaking open, I saw his mom. I pretended to still be asleep, there's no way she didn't see my ears and tail. She shut the door, I immediately rolled off the bed. Lizzie, got off the floor and tossed me my hoodie. Travis, sat up and help me tuck my tail in my pants. I hugged them, we sat on the floor in our spots, Nate, Cass, and Beau were still asleep. She came back in. "Morning guys." She whispered, trying not to wake the others up. We all waved, Nate sat up. "Morning mum." He said, sluggishly. "Hey Nate? Can I talk to you?" She asked, he nodded and stepped outside. I grabbed my bag, and opened the window. "Thanks so much for the help. Maybe I'll see you guys later." I climbed out the window, Beau closed it behind me. I jumped into the grass, I saw them all block the window.

Nate's POV.

"What's up?" I asked innocently, "Why is there a furry in my house?!" She whisper-yelled. "Chill out!" I whisper-yelled back. "He's fine. Maybe, if you got to know him, you'd realize that, he's the sweetest person you'll ever meet." I finished. I opened my door, everyone was sitting on my windowsill, suspciously, except for Ren. There was a note on my bed, I picked it up.

Hey, your mom kinda scares me. Tell everyone I said thanks for the help. I went out the window, I didn't want to get you in trouble. Maybe I'll see you later, if not, Monday.

I smiled and walked back to my mom, I handed her the note. "What do you think of him now?" I said, "He seems nice, but I still don't trust him." She said. I rolled my eyes, "Well, you know I love you so so so so much, but it really doesn't matter what you think about him." I said, she tilted her head. "Because he's my boyfriend." I finished, "Fine, just please don't get yourself hurt." She said. I nodded, I went back to the group. "You're amazing." I said laughing.

Ren's POV

As I'm walking home, I check the time, 8:24 A.M. I kept looking at my phone. I looked up and saw a graffitied wall, I guess I'm home. I walked in, a few other furries were hanging around. I went to my room, I walked to my dresser. I looked at the bracelet Liam gave me, I put it on. I grabbed my satchel, and walked out of my room. I walked into the living area, I grabbed the doorknob to leave. "But, you just got back." I heard someone say, "So close!" I whisper-yelled to myself. I turned to see a child, Ranji. I smiled, I kneeled down in front of him. "Hey, I have to go right now. I'll be back, I promise. Please, don't tell James." I said softly to the eleven year old. "Do you know where Liam has been?" He asked, I frowned. "You know what? I think you should come with me." I whispered, he nodded. We walked, to the door. "And just where do you think you're going?" I heard someone say. "What now?!" It was James, I rolled my eyes, and put my arm in front of Ranji. "None of your concern." I said through gritted teeth, "Stop acting like my father!" I demanded, "He's dead." I mumbled. I opened the door, I stepped outside. "You still wanna come with, Ranji?" I asked, he nodded. He stepped outside next to me, I closed the door and we started walking. I checked my watch, 8:48 A.M. "Where are we going?" Ranji asked, "To see Liam." I responded. "I-Is he?" He managed to get out, I looked at him, "No no, I promise you he's perfectly fine." Liam has always been like an older brother to Ranji. For me he's kind of been like a, boyfriend who doesn't like to be romantic, but still loves me. We walked past a cemetery, it brought back memories. My family didn't get buried, they made me watch them toss their bodies in a river. That's when I snapped, the people holding threw me on the ground. I picked up a piece of broken glass, and stabbed as many of them as I could. From then on I've been able to hurt anyone, without feeling emotions. My cheeks felt wet, I was.... crying. Ranji grabbed my hand, I looked down at him. He had a weak expression on his face. I smiled, we stopped walking and I hugged him. We continued walking, we got to the hospital. We got to Liam's room, I opened the door. Liam sat up, Ranji ran to his side. I walked to his other, he was holding Ranji's hand. He looked up at me, I smiled. "I get out of here tomorrow." He said, I hugged him. I pulled away he kissed my cheek. We talked for a while, I looked at the clock, 11:38 A.M. I walked Ranji home, on the way home Ranji opened up about something. "Ren?" He said softly, "Yes?" I responded. "I need to tell you something." He said, "Of course go ahead." I said. "I've been having these feelings lately." He explained, "Feelings of, admiration." "Well, that normal." I said. "Yeah, but they're for another boy." He said timidly. We made it to the alley, we stepped in. I kneeled down, "Really?" I asked, he nodded. I smiled and hugged him, I picked him up. "My lil' boy is just like me!" I exclaimed happily. "Who is it?" I asked, "W-Well he's a human." He said. I looked him right in is different colored eyes, "Everything is fine, you're not weird in the slightest. I love you so much." I kissed his forehead, I dropped him off at the hideout. I left to go get donuts. I got a box, and brought them to Liam. We shared them, we were enjoying each other's company. The doctor came in, as he was about to say something, my phone rang. It was Nate. I walked outside, "Hello?" I said. "Hey, where are you?" He asked, "The hospital." I said monotonously. "Are you okay?!" He asked worriedly, "I'm fine, I'm here for Liam." I said. "Mind if I drop by?" He asked, "Nope." I said. "Great, see you in a bit." He hung up. I walked back in, the doctor was walking out. "I can leave." Liam said smiling. He stood up, he was shirtless, a bandage wrapped around his shoulder. I hugged him, he petted the back of my head. He rested his hands on my stomach, he ran them up lifting my shirt. He saw my bandaged stomach, the bandage was stained with blood, "I shouldn't have let that happen to you." He kissed my neck. He put shirt on, we left the hospital. We started on our way home, he wrapped an arm around me. I smiled and nuzzled my head into his shoulder. We continued walking until, we saw the graffitied wall outside of the alley. We ran into Nate, "Hey, Nate." I said. He kissed me. He shook Liam's hand, "I'm gonna go inside and say, hi to Ranji." Liam said, with his hand on my shoulder, I nodded. He went inside, "How are you?" Nate said, grabbing my hips. "Okay." I responded, I kissed him. He let me go, "I'm really tired though." I finished.  "I'll let you get some sleep." He kissed my forehead, "Love you." He finished, I nodded. I walked into the alleyway, I looked back, Nate was waving. I waved back and went inside. I walked in, James was sitting on a couch. He was looking down at his phone, I walked passed him. He didn't notice until I opened the door to the hallway. I kept walking he stood up, but didn't call my name. I got to my room, I walked to my bed, and passed out.

Heyy, I hope enjoyed this chapter. It's always fun to come up with new characters and story scenes. Anyway that's I gotta say.
