(6) I didn't feel lonely anymore.

Thankfully, I actually woke up this morning. I carefully sit up and take a painkiller due to the slight aching of my ribs. After taking five extra minutes in bed, I decide to get up and shower. I allow the hot water to run over my body, although it slightly stings my bruises and a few open cuts, it loosens my muscles massively. I quickly dress myself in blue skinny jeans, a burgundy jumper and slip on my white converse. Grabbing my hairbrush, I comb through my hair, as it has nearly completely dried, and quickly braid it in a simple fishtail braid. I hurriedly apply makeup in areas I need it, only making sure marks aren't visible. I ensure to pack more painkillers, then taking my bag, I hang it on my shoulder and slip out of room, making no sound. Locking my bedroom door, I listen out for any sort of noise and relax a little when I hear the throaty snores of Tony.

Leaving the house seems like some sort of mission for me nowadays, but I manage it. Seen as its a nice day, I begin to sweat a little on the walk to school but aside from that; no complaints. My mind wonders to last nights messages and conversation with Carter. How his voice sounded panicked when he answered the phone but grew calmer by the second. I wish I knew what was going on.

I reach school and see Mollie stood outside.

"Hey Mol" I greet her with plastered smile on my face.
"Don't you 'Hey Mol' me, you left me yesterday without an explanation! Where were you?! And why didn't you answer your phone?? I left about 28 voicemails and 62 texts!!" She exclaims loudly, making me flinch.
"Sorry, I didn't feel too good" I reply, with a smile, trying to soften her up.
"Well I guess you can't come to my party tonight then" she says with a smirk on her face, transitioning to her usual, playful self.

"Oh no girl, no parties for me. I've already told you" I say to her, picturing Tony's face in my mind. He doesn't even know I have friends, never mind asking to go to a party.

"Rose, please!! It will probably be my last one and you still haven't been to a party in high school!" She begs me as we walk through the school doors.

I face her, raising one eyebrow.

"Mol, I would love to go but.." I start,
"Thanks Rosalie!! You're the best!" She engulfs me into a hug, then turns her back to start walking away.

"Get ready at mine yeah?!" She shouts, leaving me stood in the middle of the hallway, confused as to what's gone on.

       *****************************

All day people were talking about Mollie's party. Seniors and even a few juniors were invited. Mollie comes from quite a rich family. They aren't millionaires, but their house is big. Big enough for a party for the majority of the school.

The day passes pretty quick, but Carter, nor Ethan didn't come in.
Coincidence? I think not.

I enter the house and prepare myself for Tony's harsh words. He might've got a call from school asking why I wasn't in yesterday, if he has? It's not going to be pretty. I'm still recovering from the other night and the possible fractured rib, but with a high enough dosage of pain killers, the pain is barely there.

I am pleasantly surprised when I walk into the kitchen to see nothing. No one.

Unable to fully calm down until I know for definite, I tip toe upstairs, to his room to see whether he's just asleep. I reach the top of the stairs and am delighted when I hear nothing. Nada. Not any loud music, nor any bellowing snores.

I race down the stairs with a grin plastered on my face and run to the fridge. Before opening it, I notice a note on the door.

Be back Monday. Business trip.

A simple note from one person only.
He's gone.
All weekend.

I celebrate with grabbing the can of squirty cream out of the fridge and loading it into my mouth until I cannot close it.
