A sigh passed her lips while she adjusted the jewel crusted pendent in the mirror

"Six years," she thought.

Tea ran her hands through her freshly-dyed raven hair. Shoving all of that emotional baggage into a far and dark wasn't as easy as she wanted it to be so she settled for putting her hair into a ponytail. Damn it, why couldn't she stop thinking of him?  After all the shit he put her through he was still the main character of her life story.

The sleepless nights, the anguish.

Tea liked to think she lived a perfectly happy life. She had a great relationship with Takuya. He was a kind, thoughtful and unbelievably sweet guy.  Sasuke seemed to be getting along well better with Naruto and Sakura.

Well.... as well as Sasuke could.

So why was she thinking of Itachi as if he didn't screw her over?

"You're totally still in love with him,"

"What the hell-- I'm not!" she argued back.

"You're still wearing his necklace--"

"Well..."

"Case made,"

Tea groaned.

And now she was having a conversation with herself.

As soon as she went downstairs she saw Sasuke eating and apple.

"Morning Sasu-kun!" Tea said brightly.

"Morning," Sasuke murmured, turning away to blush.

Tea giggled quietly, aware Sasuke secretly loved how she still referred to him so affectionately. Every day he grew she missed the little boy who ran into her arms to hug her. An apple in hand and elbow on counter, she leaned in to watch him finish up his meal.

"You have training today, right?" Tea asked

Sasuke looked over at her and answered, "Yeah, but Kakashi has a mission so he has to leave early.  I'm going to stay after and practice my chidor, though."

"Would you like a little bit of help practicing?"

He arched and eyebrow and smirked, "Isn't Takuya coming back today? Thought you might want to welcome him home."

"It isn't like that!" she defended herself quickly with a wave of the apple.

"Oh really? Was that why I saw you two making out the other day, I wonder...?"

"There was something on his lip so-,"

"-So you had to get it off by putting you tongue down his throat. Got it. I know how it works."

Furiously blushing while Sasuke smirked in victory she could merely watch in silence as he made his way towards the door.

"Have a great practice!" Tea yelled after him.

Sasuke looked back and gave her one of his rare boyish smiles, "See ya."

And that was more than enough to permanently pin a grin to her face. Sasuke rarely smiled and it made her so unbelievable happy when he did. Honestly... it reminded her of when Itachi used to smile at her.

God, she really had to get out of here.

Just as she started to leave,  she heard a knock at the door. When she opened the door she was met by her best friend Hikari.

"Come on! We- I mean you have to hurry, your Takuya is at the front gate," she said with much more enthusiasm one would expect for someone else seeing their significant other.
