The autumn leaves that rested on the damp forest floor shifted slightly as a small figure ran passed, their long charcoal black cloak flapping behind them as they began dodging the large oak trees. The figure pulled out a compass as they began to slow down seeing they had reached a gently flowing river. Closing their eyes for a moment, they rested as they tuned into the quiet sound of life.

A deep hair-raising voice broke the peaceful trance.

"You owe me your life. Don't you ever forget that. I own you,"

The figure opened their eyes slowly. The light from the setting sun reflected off their coffee color eyes, and closed once more as they ran their hand across their face.

After having tracked alongside the river for a short amount a time, the cloaked individual approached a large sewage entrance that was the main source of water for the river below it. Stepping into the cold river bank, they began to walk towards the entrance then grabbed onto the edge of the concert ledge. Their hand slipped slightly as their leather fingerless glove sunk into an unknown, green substance.

"This shit better not be toxic,"

Hoisting themselves up with a low grunt, the figure looked into the pitch black tunnel.

"Fuck, I hate my job,"

With a long sigh, they pulled back the large hood that was covering their short brunette hair and begun scrapping flint to light their wooden torch. After walking a couple feet into the sewer, the figure quickly raised their sleeve against their nose as the smell of rat feces, mold, and unknown gases invaded their senses. After descending a couple miles farther, the figure approached a couple of large hooded figures that stood by a gated door that seemed to lead above ground.

"You are late, boy,"

One of the hidden figures growled out as they heard the figures footsteps approach. The boy didn't mutter a word as he pulled out a small clothed bag from his waistband and held it out to the intimidating man. A gigantic green skinned hand snatched it from the boys palm and began to investigate the product. With a low chuckle, the green-skinned man snapped his fingers and started walking out the gated door.

"You know what to do boys."

The small figure had began to reach for his small dagger as the two massive henchmen started to slowly walk towards him.

The young boy pulled himself up the stairs that followed the gated door with a pained groan, holding onto his side tightly as he reached the top. The moonlight illuminated the streets as he tried to find the nearest clinic in this town that he had never been to. His vision started to fade in and out as he finally sighted a caduceus symbol hanging over a small wooden building.

Trudging up the stairs he finally reached the open door, he took a step into the warm inviting building and whispered softly.

"Help me,"

He collapsed to the floor.
