Natsuki raised her fist to the mahogany door. She couldn't bring herself to knock, for some reason she couldn't find. each time she moved to knock, a foreboding feeling set over her like she was about to disturb a grave. Instead, she pulled out her phone and sent Yuri a text.

YOU: hey im here lol

After a moment, the door made a few unlocking noises and opened, revealing Yuri with her phone in hand. "Punctuation and capitalization, Natsuki." She gave her a shy smile and moved out of the doorway, sliding her phone into her pocket and raising her hand to present her foyer. "Please, come in. We can start whenever. I have tea made and if you'd like, I can make something to eat."

Natsuki shook her head and stepped in, her eyes immediately finding the shiniest thing in the room, the chandelier. "Whoa."

"Don't worry, that's the fanciest thing in here. It was a gift from my aunt when she passed away." She adjusted a black plastic cover on the wall and took the bag of supplies from Natsuki. She hiked the bag into the crook of her elbow and pushed the door closed with her foot. "Thank you for bringing this and coming to visit me. N-not that you're here to dilly- dally... I-i'm sorry, I don't get many visitors."  She cleared her throat. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me." She smiled nervously and lead Natsuki to the kitchen, placing the bag on the counter.

"We can bake first. It will probably take longer than the decor."

"I'd actually rather do something you like. It'll be relaxing." Natsuki smiled and put her hands on her hips. "And I haven't painted in ages."

Yuri smiled softly and nodded, taking two cups off of the counter and filling them with water and bringing them to the living room.

This house seems really big for one person. Natsuki thought, staring up at the chandelier.

Yuri set the cups on her coffee table, opening the drawer on it and retrieving the paint and brushes from inside.

"Lets get started then?"

Yuri wiped her forehead, looked at the paint smudged all over Natsuki's face and giggled, scanning over the banner once more. "Finish that last star and I think we're done. Then we can wash up and get to baking." Wiping her hands off on a towel, she stood up and smiled down at the other girl, her face scrunched in concentration.

Once she was satisfied with her final stoke, she stood up and took the towel she was offered, smiling down at their work. She turned and hugged Yuri tightly. "It's great." Yuri blushed and pat the top of her head, petting her hair. She smells like Almond Joy. Natsuki thought. She pulled away and grabbed her hand. Yuri smiled softly and nudged her toward the bathroom. They washed their hands and Yuri cleaned the paint off of Natsuki's cheeks, laughing when she scowled and blushed. Yuri quickly tossed her hair in a bun and clipped her bangs back. Natsuki blushed at her.

"What?" Yuri blushed dark red and looked down at her nervously. "I-Is there something on me?"

"No, nothing, you just look really nice with your hair up." Natsuki crossed her arms. "Anyway, come on." Natsuki scoffed and turned, leaving Yuri alone to look at herself in the mirror.

Turning slowly to the glass, she forced back her thoughts as they stabbed at her heart. She touched her cheek and examined the blush, flashing herself a reassuring smile. "You do look nice..."

Yuri entered her kitchen with a smile, pulling open drawers to show Natsuki where all the appliances and what each drawer had in it. Natsuki unpacked her bag and laid her supplies out on the counter while Yuri gathered ingredients. Nodding, Natsuki picked up a bowl, handing it to Yuri. "Okay, so I home make everything so this isn't going to be another thirty minute project."
