Misconceptions and Lies

She loves me

She loves me not

She says she cares

But her lies are burning hot.

I keep spinning in circles

Round and round I go

When I'll fall from her spell

Nobody knows.

I'm wrapped around her finger

She was wrapped around mine

Or so I thought,

Misconceptions or lies?

I'm tired of fighting

For something that doesn't exist

It used to

But it floated into the abyss.

She knows my secrets

She has my heart

But they're just targets

For her poisoned darts.

I'm nothing but a nuisance

A piece of gum stuck to her shoe

She treats me horribly

But I stick to her like glue.

I can't help feeling this way

When she doesn't correct me

She tells me it's my fault

But that's not what I see.

It's not my fault that she's poison

That she's addicting

That she's a drug...

But it is my fault I won't leave
