There are moments in time, where lovers are seen in their lightest and darkest moments, giving them a history that many can only dream of. Lovers who are meant to be, or who defy all odds, are the most memorable. But, as the age of the Pharaoh's commence, Love for the gods seemed to be the only true relationship in the temples of Egypt. Love was not real unless shared between a God and their lovers, without a gods blessing, how could you fathom to continue on?

The gods that could bless a union, derived in their sacred temples, where the mortals paid homage to the sacred deities. Priests, such as Nkosi--high priest of the temple of Amun--has to oversee a union between a couple who wished to make their love eternal. It was a tradition for at least four priests to witness the event of a bonding, a sexual union between lovers while bathing inside the spiritual river of the gods. This tradition was sparked by the high priest Nkosi, he was a friend of the Pharaoh which had inadvertently gained him the highest title within the covenant, making a new law such as this, gave way to a new Era in coupling.

Leading to the belief, you must be pure upon entering any temple but, you can not leave without being tainted, be it with or without a lover to complete the process. Priests became lecherous and defiled, leading women into the sacred temples as a way to quench their insatiable thirst for a sexual touch. Their wishes were fulfilled, however, with every drop of their seeds, the farther they withdrew from their gods.

Nkosi's mission, given to him by the god Min --he believed-- entrusted him with the duty of a sacred keeper of fertility in Egypt. Of course, he was the one to announce this 'godly' message to the people and how Pharaoh had unknowingly but, willingly entrusted him with this spiritual responsibility.

It took many moons for women to become accustomed to this new tradition but, reluctantly followed along before becoming as sexually involved as the rest of their town. Nkosi had done his part effortlessly, pleased with his work, all he needed to do was capture the lust of the priestesses, the purest women so far in the desert land.

But, Nkosi didn't want all of them, he only wished for one. The high priestess, one of the youngest, close to her 30s but, beautiful as a blooming flower. She was all he wanted, her name the last sign he needed to know that she was his: Eshe. Her name meant life. And he craved to give her one of their own, he wanted her more than anything in Egypt.
