I was crying after being taken from my family. The guys pushed me into a cell. After a few minutes I noticed I had a cellmate. She was the same age as me with short brown hair and had on a prisoners suit just like me.

"Hey, names Carly, call me Car." she said reaching out her hand.

"Artemis." I said shaking her hand.

"That's way to long to remember. Hmmmm," she noticed my eyes, "Blue. Yeah, that's perfect."

"I like that, well then. Blue." I smile. From that moment forward me and her became best friends.

A few months before I escaped, she was ready to get outta this place.

"Don't leave me all alone. I can't survive." I cry hugging her.

"Hey, I have to go. I caught wind that my bro is here. I have to see him, to show him I'm alive. Even if I have these powers. But when you decide to leave. Promise me you'll try to find me."

"Promise. I don't wanna lose another friend."

She smiles then takes off. A single tear trickles down my cheek.

I'll miss you my friend.

£ Flashback Over £

That's the last I saw her until the first day of school. She learned to keep her powers under control.

Your probably wondering this: powers?

She has the power of a Phoenix, or flame bird. She can control fire, breath fire, BECOME fire, and even have wings made of fire. But she has a temper and if she gets too mad her eyes will LITERALLY have fire in them and she will go on a mindless rampage.

Yeah, that's why we're friends!

POV SWAP!!

"LET ME OUT!!!" I yell, lashing a fire whip at the metal door.

I have tears (tiny flames that is) trailing down my cheeks. I can't loose them again, I can't!

I heard a bang on the door. Minutes later the door fell down revealing Blue with blue flames around her hands. She runs up and hugs me, tears streaming down her face like rivers.

"Car, your okay. Me and your brother have been worried sick!"

I see the guys in the doorway. Af release her. I run up to my brother and hug him.

"I think the best option is to get outta here then Carly can stay with us in the sewers." the blue masked one says.

I nod and we run out into the night.

A while later I arrive with my bags at home.

My new home.
