Just One Chance

Chapter 2

Draco's P.O.V  
That morning I had been a jerk running into a princess such as herself like that she was way too good for me to even be touching her but when she was close to her the scent of vanilla filled the air around me, she was amazing her long black hair and her dark brown eyes that sucked you in the second they looked at you. I peered down the stairs and I saw something that made me breathless. Her smile. My grey blue eyes looking into hers, I knew she didn't like me very well but i was determined to make her mine. I couldn't see having a life without her mainly because i've liked her since first year. The first time i saw her was in defence against the dark arts, she made everything worth it. The only reason I would show up is because there was a chance that I could see her laugh or smile.
I always knew that we could never be together but it was worth trying... until things got complicated, my parents were always making me do things to "protect" them. Only small things though and I never really knew why. Once they had finally stopped asking for favors I knew that I could try to get her. But by then she had fallen in love with my best friend cedric and there was nothing I could do about it. Because Cedric had fallen for her as well.
"Draco have you seen my daughter Anya I could never keep track of that girl she is always on the run" he said.
"Umm well actually Cedric and her actually just left I guess they are going to have dinner together but I'll help you find them" I said as we started walking to find them.
"Thank you because I need all three of you guys to help me with something but I'll explain more as soon as we find them" Snape said as he walked outside. We walked for a while until we saw them as soon as we got closer I saw that they were kissing. My heart shattered into a million pieces honestly I knew this was going to happen. At that moment I just wanted to cry I saw the girl I loved kissing my best friend but I had to hide all my emotions they seem happy and all I want is for them to be happy.
"Um Anya" Snape said so that he could get there attention.
"Oh um dad sorry you had to see that" I said getting up quickly "What do you need from me" I asked innocently.
"Well I need all three of you guys" refer to Draco and Cedric as well "Well as you all know the triwizard tournament are coming up and well we are hosting them so I would like for you three to give them a tour and make them feel welcomed at hogwarts.
"Now Draco and Anya you can go and Cedric you stay" Snape said while me and Anya gave him a worried look. Me and Anya walked back to the school in silence until Anya broke the silence.
"Um Draco I'm sorry you had to see that I know must have been awkward" she said with a slight smile
     "Awkward no it's just my to best friends kissing" I said laughing trying not to cry "Honestly I hope you two the best and it's fine with me as long as it doesn't ruin our friendship" I said pulling her into a side hug.
     "Trust me it won't change a thing and we promise you won't feel left out and maybe we could find you someone as well" she said and smiled. Honestly I didn't want anyone else I just wanted her but know that isn't going to happen because she is with my best friend.
     "Yeah maybe but who do you have in mind" I asked wondering who she saw me with.
     "Well Pansy Parkinson she seems to fancy you a lot, how about her" she said.
     "PANSY PARKINSON um no she is a crazy lady anybody but her please tell me you won't try and set me up with her" I told her honestly I couldn't see myself with anyone but Anya.
     "Okay okay I won't but will try to find you someone okay I promise" she said while chuckling a little bit.
     "Oh and Anya when were you going to tell me that Potter asked you out as well" word has been going around that he asked her out but she didn't give him an answer.
     "Well I was but Cedric and I are dating now so I didn't like it mattered" she smiled while say Cedric's name.
     "Well this is your stop I hope that you have a good night and I'll pick you and Cedric up here first thing this morning" I said pulling her into one more hug before walking off.
