Just One Chance

Chapter 5

Draco's P.O.V
     After I left Anya at her front of her house I went and tried to find that Potter boy. Anya confirmed the rumors are true about harry asking her out. Now that she was with my best friend Cedric I had to make sure no one tried to ruin their relationship. Then I saw him heading to the library.
"POTTER" i yelled before he could turn around I hit him with a jinxx. It made fly even further then me.
" WHY COULDN'T YOU STAY AWAY FROM HER POTTER you have ginny, and you knew i was in love with her! I'M NOT SURE HOW YOU knew but you knew and you still try to take the only thing that made me happy away" I could feel the anger turning into sadness.
"MALFOY!!! I love her and so do you but she is with Cedric and we have to respect that" he screamed he had a point but I had a bad feeling about him I think that he might try something.
"That's my best friend don't you think I  know that! And if i found out that you did something to ruin the RELATIONSHIP I will kill you" I had a feeling that someone was watching so I ran off before Potter could say anything. I was to mad to go back to the slytherin common room. Even though they wouldn't bother me because they all are scared of me. So I went down to Cedric's and Anya secret hideout. The inly people that know about it is us and Snape he caught us going into it one night but he didn't care because we were all his favorite students. I sat there in silence before I just started t break down and cry.
"Why me why can't I have anyone why does everyone get the people I love.. My parents hate me and my best friend gets the girl I love" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Then I buried my head into my knees until I felt a arm around me and give me a hug. I looked up to Anya telling me it's going to be okay because she was there. I couldn't help but cry a little more because she had to see me like this.
" I-I'm S-Sorry Y-you h-have t-to -s-see m-me l-like t-this" I said stering my words trying to pull myself together.
"Draco it's okay I'm here just talk to me about it don't cry I hate seeing you like this I hate seeing you hurt" She told me a worried calming voice. But I don't think that she notice I was hurt for a long lime and no one really seemed to notice it. But then out of nowhere she kissed me i pulled away in surprise i liked it but it wasn't right.
"I love you and always have but belong to my best friend as badly as I want you I can't, But maybe someday" said getting up and leaving her in the dark. I felt bad but I can't do that it would just ruin all of our friendships.
*buzz buzz* My phone started to ring it was my father great how could this night get any better.
"Hello father what do you want" I said in a snobby kind of why.
"What's wrong with you how dare you talk to me like that and I thought I told you to become friends with Snapes daughters Andy or whatever the fuck her name is you were supposed to be dating her by now and what is this I hear she is dating Cedric"
"Her name is Anya and yes it's true they are dating and he is my best friend and I'm not going to hurt him or her" I told my father in a stern voice.
"I dont give a fuck what her name is I gave you a task and you need to complete it oh and that so called best friend Cedric unfriend him i can't have you being friends with a hufflepuff and if you don't you better expect bad things to come for him and that dumb girl" he scolded me
"Oh you don't want me to be friends with a hufflepuff but you would want me to date a hufflepuff ... what kind of drugs are you" I said in a sarcastic kinda why.
"Don't talk to me like that it's not just any hufflepuff it's Snape's daughter" he said and hung up the phone. My father is so needy and why on earth does he want me to Anya so bad.
"Draco!!! Draco is that you are you okay" I turned to see he was 12 feet away from me.
"Shut up Cedric just leave me alone" I said running away. I now it was rude I felt like my old self but I had to do this task because I don't want to see them hurt I know what my dad is capable of. I walked towards the black lake and i started to punch the tree next to the lake causing my had to bleed then i took the ring my father off and looked at. I wish I was born into a different family. I thought for awhile until someone calling my name broke my thought
"What" I yelled with all my force I had.
"Draco...Draco it's me stop freaking out and talk to me" Before turning around I threw the ring my father gave me into the black lake. I looked at her and got lost into her eyes until she broke the silence.
"What was that" she asked me but I honestly didn't want to talk to her right now I had to figure out how I was going to finish this task.
"Leave" I whispered and walked away from her
