Just One Chance

Chapter 4

Anya's P.O.V

Just as I was coming out of my common room to take a walk around because I couldn't sleep, Draco was rushing by wand out and rob almost off. He looked angry but amazing I thought to myself, with his platinum blond hair messed up halfway covering his grey blue eyes his lip was cut and he was on a mission it was at that moment that I realized how cute he was but I could never let anyone know because I truly loved cedric or at least I think I do. Just then cedric ran to me picking me up and kissing me deeply bringing me into the common room and sitting me down.
"I have to tell you something" he said
"Okay what is it?" I asked and he told me everything in clear detail, about how draco has loved me since first year and how he threatened potter. Which only made me blush about how much he cared and that is why I saw him running today. Ughh now three guys want me and I want only one of them. But I don't wanna hurt the others. Especially Draco. Not only because he's my best friend but because I thought he was cute from first year to third year, and the thought that I could have had him and still could is amazing.
"Hey Cedric thanks for telling me but to be honest that's a lot to take in so I'm going to take a walk okay and this doesn't change anything between us" I told Cedric while walking towards the door.
"Okay well be safe and don't get caught because I know your dad wouldn't be please on having you in detention" he said laughing and waving me goodbye.
"I won't I promise I don't want to experience my dad being mad at me" I said to him before leaving. I walked down the long cold halls by myself. I was honestly hoping that I would run into Draco but I didn't. Ever since 1st year when Cedric Draco and I became best friends we had a secret place in the castle to get away from everyone and everything. It was a big room under the stairs of the right next to the great hall. I was getting ready to want in when I saw that the light was on. It was probably Draco so I wasn't really worried I was actually kinda happy. But as soon as I got closer I heard little cry's. I opened the door to see Draco's head in his knees.
"Draco!!! Are you okay did something happen to you" I said sitting down next to him and holding him in my arms. He picked up his head and his eyes were red and swollen he had been crying for a long time it looked like.
"I-I'm S-sorry y-you h-have t-too s-see m-me l-like t-this" he said stuttering his word. I tightened my grip on him so that he knew I wasn't going anywhere.
"Draco it's okay I'm here just talk to me about don't cry I hate seeing you like this I hate seeing you hurt" I said starting to get tears in my eyes but I wasn't going to cry because I had to stay strong for Draco. Draco was hurt and he need me right now more than ever. With draco's head in her lap she started playing with his hair, twirling it through her fingers, he looked up at her his face covered in tears with eyes red and glossy, he looked at her so deeply that she could see his soul through his silver blue eyes, his gaze made her shiver , it was enchanting. I took his face in my hands and kissed his forehead. He sits up and hugs her. When he pulls back she cant help but kiss him. He pulls away.
"I love you and always have but you belong to my best friend and as badly as i want you I can't, but maybe someday." He said then getting up and giving me a kiss on the cheek as he walked away. Leaving me in the dark, I can't help but start to sob. Not remembering why I waste my time on people who only pretend I'm sitting alone when i hear someone walk in...
I look up and see Cedric he falls to the ground cuping my face in his hands. He's freaking out. Oh crap did he see us! I think to myself.
"What happened?" I ask not wanting a response.
"It's just that I love you I truly do but.."
"But?" I ask
"But Draco has been in love with you his whole life and if you want him I can't stop you." I came here after I saw Draco run out of the school sobbing. I thought you might be here.
"Wait Draco left!"
"Yeah he looked really upset but before he ran he was on the phone with someone looking really angry, it was almost like he was the old draco, like the before he knew us...I called his name but he told me to shut up and left, screaming at me like he had no remorse for anything or anyone."
"I'm sorry i have to go find him" I left after giving him a hug
I ran as fast as I could almost feeling scared. I ran out the doors and down to the black lake, as I got closer I heard yelling. And then someone crying hysterically, I knew it was Draco I got closer yelling his name. He turned around his hair more messed up than I had ever seen it. His eyes were turned from a grey blue to just a dark blue almost black..
"WHAT!" He yelled at me with all the force in his body. He was freaking out and I had no idea why or what I could do, I walked closer to him and every stride I took I could feel my heart beating faster.
"Draco... Draco its me, stop freaking out and talk to me" I said calmly he turned around and slowly brought his hands up to his face covering the blood coming from his face in various places then throwing something into the lake behind him.
"What was that?" I asked starting to become very scared. My breath starting to increase and my heart was going so fast I couldn't hear myself think. He came closer and with one word he was gone
"Leave" he said and was off before I could catch my breath
