Hey, my name is Jacob Calisto. I know I know, why should you care? Honestly, I don't know why you should. I am sixteen going into a completely new high school across the country in California. I orignially lived in Flordia with my parents, Rebecca and Richard Calisto. I was home-schooled all of my life until now. I am so excited to see all the new things in California, I get to meet new people, see new coffee shops, and most importantly, see all the book stores here! I loved to read books ever since I was seven, also mainly because my family restricted me from using electronic devices a lot. They say it will  take over the world one day and I will be one of the robots if I stay too connected to my phone.

March 17, 2007 is the day we finally moved all of our boxes into our new western styled house. I don't like the house but I mean, nothing is perfect y'know? I finally move all the boxes into my empty room with nothing in it and try to picture where all my stuff will be. My dad tells me to meet some neighbors so i'm not stuck in my room daydreaming about where everything will be. I go to maybe two to three houses and no one answers, until finally a very  friendly woman opens the door and greets me with a super nice "Hi! Who are you?" I quickly respond with "Hi! My name is Jacob Calisto, I live right across the street from you, my family and I just moved in from Florida and just wanted to introduce ourselves to the neighbors."

"Oh how nice of you guys! We are the Richardson family. Charles! Casey! Get over here now!"

I soon see two nicely dressed teens around my age, the guy with  a green headset with a mic connected to bright green video game controller wearing a nice collared red shirt and the girl with a nice pink collared shirt and a white skirt holding some dolls. I stare at the guy a lot longer and look at every feature from his nice hair, his hazelnut eyes,  his nice flawless face, and his posture.

"Kids, say hi to your new neighbor, Jacob!"

"Hi, Jacob!" said the two.

"Hey, guys." I replied.

"Okay you two, scram!" the mom told them as they both run back to their rooms. "Okay so what school do you go to Jacob?"

"Oh I go to St. Charles High School."

"No way! My kids go there too! When  is your first day of school?"

"Tomorrow."

"If your family is still unpacking by tomorrow, you can let them know I can give you a ride in the morning if you need it."

"No, no. It is okay, but thank you! I will try to find your kids at the school too since they might be able to show me around the place."

"That's a great idea! I will let them know about it at dinner tonight. Also, would you and your family like to join us for dinner tonight? We are making meatloaf! It should be ready in half an hour!"

"No, it's okay. But thank you for the offer! I also should be heading home, I need to unpack my stuff as well."

"Okay, thanks for stopping by Jacob!"

"Thank you for talking to me, see you around!"

I head back home and in my head I was saying "Man that family was way too nice for me." They seemed like the creepy nice I usually read in horror books where the family acts super nice and kill you when you least expect it. Eh, what could go wrong. My first day of school is tomorrow and lets hope it goes well.
