CHAPTER 5

Robin's POV

We were getting ready to go catch Marcus's gang-men when Aiden arrived. Well, according to him, we were going to catch Hecate. But, would it be easy? The ghost queen was named so because she instilled fear like a devil. We might not have seen her, we might not believe her existence, but the moment your lips uttered her name you felt unwanted chills down the spine. No one knew whether she was a legend or real. The fact that she seemed appeared again, had thrown the whole underworld in a frantic state.

"Shall we go?", Aiden was losing his patience.

"We still have time Aiden", I replied trying to calm him.

"No, we don't. You know well who we are dealing with", he said.

"Do you think we can catch her?", I asked doubtfully while we entered the elevator.

"It will be not easy. We can at least catch one of her gang members. Then she will come automatically", he told and it seemed like an idea that would work.

"How close to Marcus is the one we are going to get?", I asked wanting to know the details.

"His name is Peter. He worked with Marcus till four years back. He left Marcus after some quarrel", he said and the confusion was clear in my face.

"It is only for other's eyes. Marcus has given him the control of extortion ring and went to extend his other criminal activities. Peter has an important document we want. According to the report we received from the private sources, Marcus trusted him with some important documents before he left. He is in touch with Marcus ever since. He is a potential resource for finding Marcus", he explained.

We reached the parking lot and got into our car. Aiden took the wheel and the hired private military contractors (PMCs) took the other cars. PMCs were becoming famous nowadays as they were trained soldiers but working for the hired people. There were companies who recruited them, trained them and deployed them to the selected customers.

Aiden personally chose this team of 10 people who were talented and trust worthy. Aiden's friend owned that firm so we got no problem on that front. Instead, we were going to be in front of the problem. We were going to meet the 'Ghost queen'.

"Why did Marcus leave such an important document with Peter?", I asked and he looked at me before answering.

"I am not sure. Maybe Marcus feared for his life and hid these documents. He could use this as last straw if his life is ever in danger", he told his inference and it made sense.

"Let's go for Ghost hunting", he said.

Aiden's POV

We reached the garage. I already sent some of my men in as customers. Robin and I decided to enter the garage stealthily since Marcus knew me.

We neared the rear end of the building and there was an old iron door. We waited and a man came out leaving the door half open. He seemed to be under the effect of drugs.

I decided to enter through that door. I knew it was a tough call. My plan was to wait for Hecate inside without her knowing. Once she came I would surprise her and Marcus.

I went for the door when Robin stopped me.

"There is a CCTV near the door", he pointed out.

"It's not working. Look at it closely", I showed him and we entered the door in silent agreement.
