His lips were perfect, they were mesmerizing.

Once I came to my senses, I pulled away. "I'm sorry" i started to apologize "i cant do,this."

His eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Was it something i did?"

"No! No." I reassured. "I just got out of a difficult situation and i dont think dating is the smart thing to do right now."

"What situation? You can tell me." He took a step closer, me then stepping back.

"I-i cant. Its personal." His body was towering over me, and a sudden feeling of nervousness took over.

His face relaxed, and he stood up straight.

"Yeah, um..I should go now." When he opened the door to leave, Trish was standing there, obviously drunk.

The next morning was difficult. Trish wouldn't stop crying about something that happened last night and I was trying to get out the door for my morning class.

I finally got out, telling her that as soon as my class was over I am all ears. I was overly tired due to the fact that I didn't close my eyes once last night. I kept thinking about how opened Harry was and that he was willing to listen to my past problems.

And the thing is I almost let him in.

As I walk to my class, my phone rings again. My mom keeps calling me and telling me to come home and visit for the weekend. She says that she invited my aunts, uncles, and cousins, for a barbecue and everyone wants to see me.

I agreed to come, only if I could bring someone. I haven't asked yet, but I am sure Trish will say yes to coming.

On the way back to the dorms, I stopped and got her favorite flavor of frozen yogurt. She was in the same spot I left her in, and when I placed the cup in front of her, she sat up.

"I needed this." She says, immediately taking it and putting a spoonful in her mouth.

She then goes on to explain why she was so upset. Apparently, this guys she liked told her he likes her too, but then was later seen hooking up with a random brunette.

"He's such an asshole." She says while stuffing more fro-yo in her mouth.

Once she has calmed down, I take the opportunity to tell her about this weekend.

"Syd I'm sorry." She starts, "I told Susan I would help her plan her little sisters sweet sixteen this weekend."

"Oh no problem!" I reassure.

She tells me she sorry again and I tell her not to worry. Prior commitments take priority.

Trish tells me she is feeling better, and that she has to go meet Susan, leaving me there to overthink everything and watch Netflix.

*Three days later*

It's friday, and I have to leave for my parents house tomorrow morning. I haven't seen Harry since he left our dorm, and I couldn't seem to get that night off of my mind.

When I ask Trish what dorm he lives in, she gave me this I knew it look.

"Shut up," I smirked. "Just tell me."

When I got there, I knocked before I could decide otherwise. The door opens, and a guy with red hair answers.

"Why hello, what can I do for you love?" He was also British.

I cleared my throat. "Is Harry here?"

"No, I am sorry but he's not." My shoulders sink in defeat.

"Oh, um can you tell him that S-"

"Sydney?" I turned around and saw a sweaty Harry standing behind me with a gym bag hanging loosely from his shoulder.

Harrys POV

When I turned down the hallway of my dorm, I heard a familiar voice.

"Oh, um can you tell him that S-"

Once I realize who it was, confusion spread across my mind.
"Sydney?" I questioned. She turned around and stared at me, almost as if she was shocked to see me.

"Hey...do you want to get food?" She blurts out.

I see Sal making faces at me from behind her. She sees my hesitation and panic rushes over her face.

"Yes! I mean..yeah of course." She smiles and I tell her to just let me get out of these clothes before we go out.

I drive us to the nearest Applebees, and when we get seated I put down my menu to face her.
"So, what's wrong?"

She looks up at me like I have twenty heads, but then her features relax.

"Well, I was wondering if you could do me a favor."

I raise my eyebrow at her.

"Will you come with me to my parents house this weekend? They're having a big barbecue and it's with my extended family who I hate because they're always so judgmental and I asked Trish hut she said she had to plan this sweet sixteen with Su-"

"Sydney!" I cut her off and her hands fell to the table. "Yes I will go with you."

She smiles and grabs my forearm. "Thank you so much, Harry. It means a lot."

I smile back before picking up my menu and pretend to look over the options. I glance at her and she has the smallest smile on, as if she is trying to hide it. I felt butterflies swarm my stomach and then I realized, I am looking forward to this weekend.
