Chapter 1
Ja'Quan's pov
I woke up getting ready for my first day of school, even though school started 3 days ago. I had put on a pair of black pants and a black polo. I didn't know if the school had uniform or not. I got into the truck with my mom. we pulled up to Forest Park High School and I got out and looked around. The school was being refurbished. I walked into the main office with my mom and everybody seemed to stare at me. I wasn't nervous because my confidence wasn't low like most people when they start at a new school. After the enrollment of me into a new school, it was time for class. Since I arrived late to the school it was 3rd period. I walked in and sat down in any seat available. The warning bell rung and people walked in. One particular person caught my eye. It was this girl, whom I never seen before. She sat down two rows from me. I didn't stare because that would be creepy. The teacher walked in and started class. The whole time the teacher was talking and NOT TEACHING was really boring so I started to write in my notebook. I wrote some raps. I felt someone staring at me and I looked to my right and it was the principal, looking through the window on the door. I was really creeped out by that. I ignored it and kept looked at the rap. I read it over and decided to rap it a little bit. My teacher Ms. Simmons told us to introduce ourselves and what are hobbies are. She started off in the back. When it got to me, I didn't know what we was doing and I was wondering why everyone was looking at me. Ms. Simmons told me to introduce myself and I gladly stood up and said my name and told them I likes to skateboard and film. I looked around and my eyes looked right into her brown eyes. I smiled and sat down. When it was her turn she stood up And looked at me and I started to make funny faces at her and she started to laugh and blush. She said her name was Guadalupe and she liked to make videos. She was still staring at me then I winked at her. She turned tomato red. After the bell rung I slowly packed up my stuff and went to Ms. Simmons and asked what location was my next class at. As I walked out I noticed I had first lunch. I walked to the cafeteria and stood in line. I was minding my own business when someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and noticed it was Guadalupe from 3rd period.
G- I see you found your way around Forest Park?
J- Ehh I managed.
G- Well if you need any help finding your next class, let me know.
J- How can I find you if I'm lost?
G- (laughing) You'll find a way.
With that said she walked off with a smirk.
