《 ZACHARIAH》

I was woken up by Alicia shoving my shoulder hard. "Get up, dammit it's morning." She said, loudly causing my eyes to fly open. She was already standing up, buttoning her jeans.

I quickly got up from the couch and grabbed my shirt, pulling it back over my head before quickly putting on my pants and shoes. "Let's get going back. Maybe everyone slept in or something."

We quickly made our way back to the Clarks, rushing in through the back door only to find a bunch of people's panicked looks greeting us.

"Thank fucking god you guys are alright. Where the hell were you?" Ryan said, shooting me an angry look.

"Ugh... we were out last night and got caught out by curfew." I said quickly, shrugging.

"That's bullshit. Ofelia said that you, Zach, were out with her past curfew but that you got back last night. So when did you two go back out?"

I glanced over at Alicia, who had a horrified look on her face and seemed unable to say anything. "It was my idea, I'm sorry. We went out to check out this house that's abandoned a couple streets over."

"You could have gotten caught. Or killed. Or God knows what." Ryan said, shaking his head.

"Yeah, I know. Sorry." I said, making my way past Ryan and everyone else - not making eye contact with anyone.

I made my way into the living room and practically fell down onto the couch, pulling the covers up over my shoulders and rolled over to face the back of the couch, letting my eyes slowly shut and pull me back into the warm welcome of the darkness.

When I finally woke back up, the house was loud with different conversations going on everywhere. I slowly got up and walked into the kitchen, finding Leah, Alicia, and Madison standing in there.

"Good morning... again." Leah said, smirking over at me.

"Morning. And sorry about this morning, Miss Clark." I said quietly, as I maneuvered my way around everyone to grab some food.

"It's fine, Zach. But next time, let's keep trips to non-curfew hours." Madison replied, I nodded. I looked over at Alicia to find her refusing to meet my gaze.

I waited a second before picking up the plate that I had filled with food and walking back into the living room, sitting down on the couch.

Ryan walked into the living room and looked over at me, crossing his arms. I let out a sigh, "Go on and get the obligated parental rant over with."

"Look, Zach, I understand this whole situation is more than a little fucked up. But you all can't just go running around after curfew. It was the middle of the night, I'm used to you being a little late and that's fine - but you were out all night."

"I'm sorry. We were just out talking, it's been hard to find time to just talk since everything went down - and there was some hard feelings that needed fixing."

Ryan nodded slowly, "Look I understand. I'm just saying that you got to keep your head on your shoulders, you can't just be running around after curfew."
