《 ZACHARIAH》

I sat up on the bed as soon as Nick walked in with the plate of food and a glass of water, shooting his signature smirk at me. "Food delivery for Zachariah Cortez." He said, sitting the glass on the table and handing me the plate.

"You guys know I could come out and eat with everyone else, like a normal person."

"Ah, but my sister thinks you still need more rest. And I'm not going to tell her otherwise, you all have been friends long enough I'm sure you've seen her angry - It's not a pretty sight, Zach."

"Yeah, I've been the target of the anger before." I said, laughing.

Nick laughed and sat down in the chair against the wall. "Then you understand my hesitation to tell her you could come eat out there."

I nodded, "Yep. I do understand that. So where is Licia?"

"In their room doing something," He said, shrugging. "Hell if I know."

《●》

I walked out onto the deck of the boat, looking out over the water. "Its good to see you up and moving." Leahs voice caught my attention.

"Yeah I finally managed to escape the room."

She laughed, "We were all just worried about you, Z. It probably did you some good to get a few days rest."

I shook my head. "I just wish I could have been out here trying to help everyone some more than I've been able to."

"Everything's fine, we're all still alive." She said, shrugging.

I heard footsteps approaching and looked over to find Alicia, "Hey Licia." I said, smiling.

Leah looked between us both and smiled before walking back inside the boat.

"Hey." She said, standing against the railing beside me. "So your brother and Ofelia have been hanging out. A lot."

"Interesting. And you were once worried about me messing around with her." I said, smirking over in her direction.

She laughed and shook her head, "You can let that go any day now. Thanks." She said, leaning into my side.

"Sorry. I just still can't believe you got so pissed about me spending time with other people." I said, shrugging. "Honestly though LA is becoming a distance memory at this rate."

"I can understand that."

"It's crazy how much things have changed." I said, nodding. "But I think I'm at least going to move back into the guys room tonight, get back to being somewhat normal."

She glanced over at me quickly before looking back out to the ocean. "How about you stay in the extra room for one more night?"

"You got something in mind?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. I spotted a slightly tint of red over her cheeks and smirked to myself. "Alright, one last night in the room to myself."

《●》

The room that was meant to be for only me was definitely not just me that night. I woke up the next morning, finding Alicia still asleep beside me, and smiled to myself - forcing my eyes back shut.
