Chapter 2

y/n POV

I couldn't belive it! John was about to ask be out to the dance, but probably just as friend's, but then lafayette suggested we all go together. I guess that would be for the best so it wasn't awkward! Yea today is going to be a good day. The dance was tonight after all. I already know Alexander asked Eliza. I couldn't wait. We heard the bell ring and walked our separate ways to class.

((Time Skip))

As soon as the bell rang I rushed out of  class to find the Schuyler sister's. "Angelica! Eliza! and Peggy!" ((get it? I'll go home.)) The Schuyler sister's turned to me with smiles as they rushed over.

"Y/n! Is it tue your going to the dance with John!?" Eliza asked with biggest smile ever. The three knew i liked John.

"Oh, yea. Along with Lafayette too!" I said with a smile. The sister's began to laugh and whisper to each other.

"Then we must go dress shopping!" Peggy said as she began running past the crowd almost tripping as usual, same old clumsy loving Peggy! Sooner or later we caught up with her and made our way to a small shop that sells the most beautiful dresses! We looked around as I heard Eliza squeel. She found a light blue dress with beautfiful white pearls and jewls on it. It reach down to the ground. Angelica found a peach coloured dress with faded flower patter around the chest area, and Peggy, she found a yellowish greenish dress with a black ribbon around the waist. it went past her knees but didn't touch the ground like Eliza's and Angelica's.

"This is perfect! Alexander would love this!" Eliza said as if she was buying it for him ad not her. I turn me head and find a beautiful f/c dress! It was d/l ((Dress length)) with a s/f/c jewl in he middle of the chest area. It wasn't nothing to secial but right! We bought the dresses and went to the Schuyler sister's house to get ready.

John POV

I was so nervous to see y/n. What if I say something stupid! No, everything woud be just fine. I heard a knock at the door thinking it was y/n, I rush to the door to open it with a smile seeing Lafayette. "Oh, Lafayette! are we going to pick up y/n now?" I asked trying not to sound dissapointed that it wasn't y/n at the door.

"Yea, now let's go!" Lafayette said grabbing me by the hand pulling me out. I close the door behind me. We walk to Alexander's house ringing the doorbelll. He answers imeadiently.

"Hey, do you know where y/n is at?" I ask seeing that she was no where to be seen. Usually she'd be running down to see who was at the door.

"y/n is at the Schuyler residence. We should go pick them up." Alexander said. On our way to the Schuyler residence we bumped into Herc.

"Where are you guy's headed to?" He asked with a smile.

"We're on our way to pick up Alexander's date and our friends." I said. Saying y/n was my date might be weird and make Alexander mad, and I didn't really ask only her out, but rather laf too..I guess.

"Ah, so your on your way to the Schuyler residence, I assume y/n is there too. I would also be going to pick up my date." Hercules said slightly smiling.

"And who would that be, Angelica?" Lafayette asked with a smirk as he crossed his arms.

"Actually, Peggy." He said looking away as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Peggy actually said yes to you?" Alexander asked shocked. Peggy was the type to reject and fend for herself. She refers to herself as a warrior. Maybe y/n knows something about this. Sooner or later we got to the Schuyler residence. The door was answered by Angelica. I was surprised she didn't have a date, any man would want to go with her, she could tag along with us tonight. Eliza came down the stairs, she had on light makeup with her hair the same as always. She ran over to Alexander and no doubt they were all over each other. Peggy came down next and ran to Hercules and gave him a hug, you could see the slight blushes on their faces.

"You can come down now y/n! Your dates are waiting!" Peggy said with a smile. We all turned to Alexander as he had a pissrd of and annoyed expression on his face.

"Which one of you two asked her out!" Alexander shouted and then came y/n. She was beautiful! Her hair was up in a bun, She had light makeup on like Eliza. And her dress was just... Lord have mercy before I really do something. Of course if anything Lafayette ran up to het and kissed her hand. Y/n gave a simple smile to Lafayette and looked over at me. I was a blushing disaster.

Lafayette POV

As soon as I saw y/n come down I was at a loss for words. She was just so...ugh I just want to tell her here and now and just kiss her. "So you asked her out!" Alexander shouted ad he had been clearly annoyed.

"Uh no, I'm going with another person, it's just going to be John, y/n, and I. Calm down." I said laughing a bit. I looked kver at John who was visibly blushing walk over. He and Y/n made small talk. I rolled my eyes and we all got going. As soon as we got to the school we could already hear the music. Hercules and Peggy already ran inside, Angelica was inside as well to make sure nothing stupid was going to happen. Before the resr of us went in Alexandef had to set some 'rules'

"You are to make sure nothing hapoens to my sister! Don't even think of touching or kissing het and taking her home!" Alexander shouted but was pulled away by Eliza before he could finish. Y/n pulled us into the school and let us go as soon as we were in. Music was blasting and everyone was dance and all over each other.

"So what do you guys want to do?" Y/n asked with a sweet smile which struck John anf I down.

"Actually if I could speak to you in private y/n" I said turning to John who was visibly mad now as He backed away running to the bathroom. I smirked and grabbed Y/n pulling her in close. "I...think I'm in love with you.." I manged to say as I felt,my face heat up and soon I was blushing.

"Lafayette, that's, wow. I'm sorry but, I actually like John..." She said frowning. I felt my heart shatter into pieces as I laughed.

"I'm kidding, just wanted to see how you'd handle being confessed to. Don't worry your secret is safe with me." Although it hurt I didn't want things to be awkward between y/n and I. John came out with red eyes. He was probably crying.

"John! You missed it Lafayette just pranked me!" They began chatting away as I pulled John in and Leand into his ear as I whispered. "Take good care of her." I left to find Angelica so we could maybe talk.
