My updates are slow. I'm aware. That is why I'm apologizing. I had no idea that my summer would be full of birthdays and graduation parties. Also, it's my last summer before senior year of high school. I'm trying to make it the best summer ever.

I know I say it waaaay too much, but thank you all for reading my stories. I never would've thought that any of my books would've gotten all the reads that they did and are still getting. I know the updates are slow, but all of you are so patient and I also thank you for that.

This chapter is dedicated to XxAlyssaDiorXx for being one of the coolest followers. She had placed 3rd in the cover contest, winning a dedication!

Okay, enough with the long authors note. So enjoy!!!!

Love, El

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You okay?" Dylan asked.

"We talked about this."

"I just don't want you-"

"Dyl, I'm fine." I smiled to him. He shook his head and leaned over to kiss me.

"I love you." I laughed and opened my door. Currently, we were in the parking lot of the apartment. Julia's baby shower was just hours away.

Last night Dylan and I got ourselves a hotel room. We shut off our phones and just relaxed. It was nice to lay in Dylan's arms while watching TV. The two of us needed the alone time.

Dylan opened the door to our apartment. It got quiet and everyone stared at us. Here we go.

"I'm going to kill you!" Scott said and came towards Dylan. I stepped in front of him.

"No, you're not."

"He took-"

"Leaving was my idea, not his. Leave him alone, Scott."

Lisa smiled and walked over to Dylan and I. She wrapped her arms around me. I closed my eyes as she rubbed my back.

"Are you alright sweetie?"

"I've been better." She let me go, holding on to my elbows. She smiled once more before hugging me, then letting go to hug Dylan.

"You two have been fine?" Dylan grabbed my hand.

"Mom, can we talk about this later?" Lisa gave the two of us a warm smile and nodded.

"Sorry, we couldn't make it out as soon as we found out." Patrick told us.

"It's alright, dad." Dylan hugged his dad. Patrick smiled to me before giving me a warm hug.

Hugs from the O'Brien family make me happy. They are so warm and there's just something about them that make me so much happier.

"Don't listen to them. You two are old enough to make your own decisions." He whispered to Dylan and I. "Especially you, sweetheart."

I looked to my family. I stepped forward and looked at all of them in the eye.

"Okay, before you go say anything let me talk." I waited to make sure nobody would answer. "I need all of you to stop treating me as if I'm a baby. I can take care of myself." I looked to Clara, Julia, and Lauren. "And I need you three to stop. Even though you're older than me it doesn't mean you can boss me around and try to tell me how-"

"We-"

"Clara, I am so close to leaving. Shut up." She leaned into Wes. "As I was saying- you can't tell me how I feel. Everyone reacts differently. I may seem calm and collected, but on the inside I'm dying." Dylan squeezed my hand. "I'm trying to stay calm and collected for a reason." I looked to Dylan. "I'll get through this with the help of all of you, but I don't need you to keep asking questions. If Dylan and I want to talk we will."
