So, how have you all been? It's been a long while... But I'm back with an update *cheering*

I think you'll like this chapter. It's not too long, but I think it was worth the wait.

Love, El

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"We really haven't spent much time together since I got here." Dylan said standing on the other side of the counter. I smiled and crossed my arms.

"No, we haven't. I'm sorry about that."

"She isn't sorry. The two of us have been hanging out and catching up." Lauren told him and wrapped her arms around my neck. I placed my hands on her forearms and rolled my eyes. Lauren laughed and placed her chin on my head. "Callie, you're not sorry." I laughed and Dylan smiled.

"I'm taking you out tonight." He grinned as I raised an eyebrow.

"For?"

"Does it matter?" Lauren asked. I pinched her arm.

"Dinner."

"Is there something you aren't telling me?" He winked to me.

Oh, something's going on alright.

"Just because he is taking you out doesn't mean something is going on." Lauren let go of me. "Maybe sex. Really steamy, hot, sexy sex."

"Really, Ren?" I asked.

"How long does she have?" Lauren asked.

I picked up another carrot and dipped it into the peanut butter. Dylan looked down to his watch.

"An hour." Lauren's jaw drop and her eyes widened. She spun me around and grabbed my hand.

"You are definitely dressing sexy tonight!" Dylan laughed as I was being dragged to the stairs.

"Here. This will look cute." Lauren said throwing an outfit to me. I looked down to the outfit and shrugged.

It does look cute and she is a great outfit picker. Lauren moved to the makeup table and plugged in the hair straightener.

"So I didn't tell you, but I got many compliments on the decorations and the food."

"From the event?" I threw my shirt on the floor.

"Yeah."

"Thanks."

"Maybe that's what you should do. If the field of biology doesn't work out." Lauren told me. I stopped getting dressed and looked to her. "What?" I shook my head and pulled the dress up.

"Event planning?"

"Think about it, Cals." She said as I moved my hair to the side. "You found people at the last minute for the event. People who did a fantastic job. And this isn't the first time you've planned an amazing event." I shrugged. "At the last minute may I add."

After I pulled the zipper up on the dress I sat down in the chair for Lauren to do my hair. She ran a brush through it, combing through the knots. I wish she did my hair all the time. Well anyone actually. I love when people play with or do my hair.

Maybe inventing some kind of robot that follows you all day and plays with your hair could be something? But then there would be complications. Maybe not a robot but something that would play with hair all day long.

But Dylan does play with my hair a lot, so I'm fine with him. Until I invent the robot.

"Ren? Cals?" Wes called.
