Schools reopened the following week and that's when I noticed how things had really changed. My friends were distant towards each other. They were all together but something was missing.

Maybe I was the missing puzzle piece, I don't know , but something was really wrong.

Sometimes during lunch, they'd just sit and eat, none of them saying anything to the other. And once they were done eating they'd each depart to their different classes. One by one.

None of the kids in school said anything to them although they were gossiping.

During the first week, the school's weekly newspaper published an article about them and they were on the front page. The headline was, 'tragedy: the fall of the great bitchy squad'. They were all embarrassed and somehow, not even Camilla had something to say.

People were finally taking a stand against my friends and they were winning.

During the second week, there was still no change. They were still distant.

I wonder if Alex and Justin were still together.

Or if Rachel and Calvin still necked on in parties.

Or if they went to parties anymore.

It was painful watching them like this. Watching the people you love hurt because of you is the most painful thing ever. Milton was right- watching them grieve will be worse than actually dying.

I wonder how it'll feel when I get to watch them get over me.

Some time during the first week, the school decided to throw a late memorial service for me in the school hall. Everybody was cooperative and some of my classmates said a few words.

I never really knew how much i meant to people. I played a huge role in some of their lives and i never knew it when I was alive. Maybe I would have appreciated myself more if I had.

The following week, things started getting better. Once in a while they'd talk and i started noticing how Kurt and Troye had become best friends again.
One day after school, they all went to McDonalds to grab a bite.

"So, how are things going Nick?" asked Rachel.

"Good hey," he paused, "all in good time. One step at a time, all will be well."

"Do you think things will ever be back to normal?" Asked Alex, taking a sip of her McFizz.

"Hell no," he laughed, "nothing will ever be the same," he shook his head, "you know how Ally was my everything. And without her here, things will never be the same. I literally have nothing."

"I think it's better though since now we've started hanging out again as friends," Troye added in, "compared to last week, this is a great start."

"Things will never be the same though," Camilla said something, "Ally was our glue. Whenever things went wrong or one of us had a problem, Ally was there! What's gonna happen to us now?"

"Aren't you gonna eat?" Asked Kurt.

"I'm not hungry," she replied coldly.

"You have to eat something," Kurt insisted.

"I'm not hungry Kurt! Geez," she yelled, "eating won't bring Alisson back, will it?!"

"Baby, come on," he begged.

"Get the hint already Kurt!" she yelled before storming out crying.

Kurt followed her.

"it's funny huh?" said Justin.

"What?" Asked Troye.

"I think it's funny how Kurt really loves this chick and she doesn't see it," he said.

"She doesn't?"

"Yeah," he paused, "she's just ..."

"A bitch." Nicky added.

Everyone remained quiet.

"I'm gonna go for a smoke," he said, getting up. "I won't be back," he got out.

As soon as he got out, the boys got up and went to a corner.

"Guys, we can't let this come out," said Calvin.

"Why'd you do it in the first place?" asked Troye.

"I dont know, i don't know!"

"If this comes out, Nick is gonna kill you!" Justin pointed out.

"Tell me something I don't know!" Calvin yelled, "I know he's gonna be mad if he finds out," he lowered his voice, "which is why we need to make sure he never finds out."

"According to our knowledge," said Troye, "it never happened."

They all nodded.

"What never happened?" the boys screamed as Camilla asked unexpectedly from behind them.

"It," said Kurt standing behind her.

"Yeah, it." they all agreed.

"What the hell are you guys hiding from me?"

"Nothing," Calvin said quickly, "I'll get the bill." he said.

"Yeah, let's get going," said Kurt.

"You guys better hope I don't find out because if I do," she folded her arms, "I'll crush you." she looked over to Kurt, "all of you!"

guys, it's been a while since I've written and I'm a bit rusty. I'm sorry that this chapter doesn't make sense and all...

it's short and horrible, i understand.

I have a lot of stress since I'm tryna work on my matric results . I want excellent marks guys!

Anyways, I'll try to make sure that my next chapter is better. don't be mad please. bare with me 💔😢.
