Leaning on a tree right outside Sally's house, I closed my eyes, allowing myself to fall inside a memory involving Alex.

I decided to trust Milton this time - he once told me to trust my memories in bringing me answers, and now, I was finally deciding to trust what he said, and most importantly trust my memories. As I closed my eyes, I felt the vacuum pull me in again, this time it made a loud noise that gave me a short but excruciating headache. I didn't know the reason behind that, but my gut told me it would hurt more and more as I approach what could possibly be the reason to my death.

When I opened my eyes, I was in the eighth grade, sitting next to Alex in class. It was clearly the first day of school. The very same day Milton was bullied. I was clicking on my pen and chewing gum disrespectfully.
"Can you stop that, please?" She asked, arrogantly.

"Why should I?" I asked, rolling my eyes.

She smiled, "Because it's disrespectful."

I smiled, rolling my eyes. "Fine." I spat my gum out, stuck it under my table and smiled again - clearly annoyed. "Happy?"

"Very." She paused, "My name is Alexandra by the way. But everyone called me Alex where I'm from."

"And where is that?"

"Sunnyside." She said. "It's a small town on the other side of the country."

"Were you a bitch in Sunnyside?"

"The baddest," she smiled. "I'm so glad you noticed."

"Well, here I'm the baddest bitch in town, and they call me Ms Berry. You better watch how you speak to me next time."

"They call you Ms. Berry?" She burst in laughter, "Why would they do that?"

"Respect." I said, reaching to my pocket, taking out another bubblegum and preparing myself to unwrap it.

"Well then, what's your first name?"

"Alisson." I threw the gum in my mouth and started chewing.

"I'm gonna call you Alisson, because you're disrespectful. And respect is a two way street."

My face hardened for a while before I smiled at her, genuinely this time. "I like you." I said, narrowing my eyes. "You've got guts."

She smiled back.

"So, how about you tell me everything there is to know about you, and I'll do the same." I shrugged.

"O-Kay... I'm Alex Davids, I'm new in town and I like puppies, boys, partying, sex, and yeah... coffee, of course."

I nodded, "Okay... nice. Well, I'm Alisson Berry and my dad owns most businesses in this town, and I'm the face of all of them, of course. I like books, reading, writing, partying, cheerleading, and traveling with my dad and so on. And, you see that boy at the back?" I said, pointing at Nicky, who smiled back. "He's my boyfriend and I love him so much. My half sister is in the toilet, waiting for the bell to ring so she can make her grand entrance. She's pretty." I paused, "And I solemnly swear to kill anybody who tries to steal Nicky from me. I love him way too much to lose him over some scumbag who can't find her own men. Psht!"

"Wow, you're bad aren't you?"

"And rich. But I'm a nice person once you get to know me."

"So you're pretending to be heartless?" she laughed, "I am too."

"I know," I smiled, "I saw right through you."

We both giggled, "I can introduce you to my friends if you want to? And I'll take you to my favorite coffee shop in town, you'll love it. Only if you want to though."
