"Wait, don't tell me the rumors were true" Oikawa friendly pushed Kageyama as he finally caught up to him.

"They are. I don't why it became a rumor in the first place, I wasn't hiding it" Kageyama sighed loudly, but continued rummaging through his bag.

"Eh?! Seriously?" Oikawa scratched his head. "But man, seriously? I mean, that for sure is going to get you extra points, but why?"

"Because I want to. Oikawa, i'm a biology major who wants to be taxonomist (a/n a person who idetifies species), this is my best chance at securing my place" Kageyama finally pulled out his textbook put of the bag and flipped through pages.

"You're leaving me all alone for 6 months, how am I gonna survive without my Tobio-chan?" Oikawa wrapped his arms around Kageyama's waist. The other broke free and shoved the textbook into Oikawa's hands.

"You have Iwaizumi-senpai. That's my plan, tell me what you think" Kageyama waited patiently while Oikawa took out his glasses and read through the text written on the page.

"You're reaching for the stars here, you know?" Oikawa said after a few minutes. Kageyama nodded. "I see... well, I feel like you can pull it off"

"Thanks. I'm leaving tomorrow, I'm quite excited" Kageyama said. He had never gone out of Japan before, so going somewhere as exotic as Brazil felt like a dream come true.

"Be careful, bring bug repellant and don't fucking get lost like that boy some time ago" Oikawa playfully hit Kageyama's head. The other just raised an eyebrow before making a very questionable face expression.

"What boy?" He asked. Oikawa gasped and covered his mouth in a dramatic manner.

"The Shoyo kid, you don't remember?" Oikawa's intensive stare kind of threw Kageyama off for a second, before the memories came back.

"Oh yeah, that kid. Don't worry, straying off the path is suicide in that jungle" Kageyama assured his friend before taking his notebook out of Oikawa's hands. "I'll be off, I need to prepare. My flight is tomorrow"

"Good luck and text me anytime you can so I know that you're safe, okay?" Oikawa blew a kiss at Kageyama. The other did caught it...and then rubbed it against his ass and smirked while Oikawa's heart could be heard breaking into tiny pieces.

Kageyama, future taxonomist, had decided to go to the Amazon Jungle and discover a new species all on his own for his final paper. That would not only get him extra points on his work, but could also secure a potential work place in a major company.

Different animal species was something Kageyama had always been fascinated about. When he was little he'd spend hours looking at different butterflies, wondering why their wings and colors were different, same with dogs and cats. Before he knew it, he had enrolled into a special biology program in his first choice university, alongside his friend Oikawa Tooru and his friends friend Iwaizumi Hajime.

Once home, he quickly took out his suitcase, the biggest one. He only used it once when he travelled to Australia with his professor for a seminar on newly discovered species.

Actually, he had two choices. He could either go to the Jungle for 6 months or..... diving in the Mariana's trench for like 6 hours. As much as he wanted to see the mysterious underwater  animals, finding a new species in the jungle was not only easier but also more believable.

"So... bug repellant. Check. Clothes. Check. Money. Check. Medicine and a first aid kit. Check. My materials and tools. Check..." Kageyama went through his stuff as he neatly packed it. Ah, he was so excited. His cheeks were light pink and his eyes were sparkling.

As he finished packing his stuff and set aside his suitcase, Kageyama sighed. He had been waiting for this for so long....

He planned the trip a year ahead, he personally contacted the local people who could let him stay at their place and show him around. The locals were more than glad to do so and Kageyama had his room secured.

The news spread as a rumor in university at first, simply because no one could believe it. Kageyama never hid it, he talked about it, researched the surrounding areas. While researching he once again stumbled upon an old article of the missing boy.

He wondered, what would he do if he found his remains? Surely, it would be sad, but relieving at the same time? He had no clue.

His flight was tomorrow, great months were ahead of him... or so he thought.

Sorry it's short, just getting back on track!

The action starts next chapter sort of. It's gonna be sort of an emotional/sentimental/fluffy fic!
