Okay, a few words.
So, as you read in the description, the main character, Danté Kim can see ghosts. The reason why she can see Tom Riddle's ghost is that the Tom Riddle she talks to throughout the story is his good half (or slightly less evil half) that was killed when he started making the Horcruxes and splitting his own soul. So in essence, in order to become Voldemort, Tom Riddle had to first kill himself.
Also, this book does contain elements of my other book, Masquerade and its sequel Descent, but it's not entirely invested in it, so you should be fine reading it. Short version: Masquerade is my Tom Riddle Fanfiction and it is about a character that I made called Adeline Robins. I suggest checking it out, and it should help clear up stuff about this book.
