I wish for ordinary things
to hold your hand and walk barefoot
to look at your eyes when you touch my lips
to have a long drive and listen you sing
to snuggle tight while we're watching tv
I wish for just the simple things
a little house surrounded by trees
green grass and flowers, maybe a nearby creek
birds chirping, my dog lying beside me
your arm around my shoulders, sound of your heartbeat
I wish for really common things
to share with you all my dreams
to make plans together, to argue and laugh
to play sweet little games before a hug
to have you always by my side
I wish for totally impossible things
