Everything looked the same it was amazing! I was walking around I didn't know what to do, I was so scared and excited at the same time. I walked out the front door, and walked over to tree in our back yard. I picked a apple and I took a bite. It didn't have a taste. I threw it on the ground. Bang! I woke up on the floor. "Ugh" I said as getting up, I must have fallen on the floor. I looked over at the clock it was 4:30am I decided to go back to sleep.
I woke up to the blaring of my alarm clock, I slammed my fist on the clock and it shut off. I got up and put on some pants and went to make something to eat for breakfast. I couldn't stop thinking about the dream I had. After I ate my waffles my mom drove me and my brother to school. When we got to school it was gloomy outside, I ran inside I saw Ben at his locker. I ran up to him "Hey!" I said "How'd the pills go?" He asked "They were amazing" "Did I tell you about the dangers of the pills?" He said. I started to feel nervous. "The dangers of meeting ethereal beings that were not friendly to our kind... beings with less than savory intentions if encountered. You need to be careful Sam" He looked serious. "There not even real, how dangerous can they be?"
"Believe me when I say this; they may not be seen in the waking hours of the day, but they are just as real as you and I." At that point I was nervous, but I still wanted to take the pills again. "Okay I'll be careful" I said as walking to my class.
After school. I met my brother at the front of the school, "Mom's gonna be any minute" he said, soon enough he was right. I got in the back seat and put my seatbelt on I leaned my head against the cold window. When we got home I went up to my room. I pulled out my phone and I found a webpage of people take the same dream pills as me. The page was full of posts of people with their experiences. At the top of the page there was a button called "Near Me" I didn't know what it was so I clicked on it. It said Three near you. So apparently if there's people near you in the real world taking theses pills to sleep. You can interact with them in the dream world.
It would be so cool if I made a friend in my dream world! I turned off my phone and I went into the bathroom, to have a shower. When I was done I got out and dried off and got dressed. I ran down stairs and I opened the freezer I grabbed a frozen pizza, I turned on the oven. As I was waiting for my pizza to be done I pulled out my phone and sat down on the couch. I started playing a game on my phone called Candy Crush. I was on level 358.
When the oven beeped a ran over and put on my oven mitts, and took out my pizza. It smelled so good I thought to myself. My brother came in the room and took 5 slices of my pizza, I rolled my eyes and took 2 slices of pizza. I sat down on the couch and turned on the Tv. I was flipping through the channels until I came across channel 276 the show that was on was called ScienceSkillz I loved science I was a nerd like that. Today they were talking about the Colossi of Memnon.
When I was done eating I put my plate in the sink and I went upstairs to my bedroom, I was tired after the day I had. I went to the bathroom and got a cup of water, I took a pill in my hand and swallowed it fast. I went to my room and got into bed. I could feel myself drifting off, I closed my eyes, I opened them again to see my body asleep in bed. I ran down stairs and ran out the door, I was standing in the middle of the street. I was walking down the street. When from the corner of my eye I saw someone duck behind a car. I didn't know who it was, and I wasn't sticking around to find out.
I started walking faster, I turned a corner. I could hear someone running after me. When the person got close to the corner I jumped out and pinned them against the wall.
"Ouch what the fuck!" It was a girl.
"Who are you!?" I asked "My name is Lilith" She pushes me off her.
She was beautiful. "I'm Sam" I said. "Are you a dreamer too? She asked "Yes, I just started a couple of days ago, when did you start?" "A couple of weeks ago" She said.
"Have you seen them yet?" She asked worriedly
"who? the demons or what ever lurks in our dreams?" I said sarcastically. She slapped me "Dont joke about it! There real and extremely dangerous!"
I didn't know why everyone was so scared. "So where do you live?" I asked. She pointed across the street, "I just moved here" she said.
"Why'd you move?"
"Because of the demons, my brother took the wrong pill, he took the dream pill thinking it was his medication." I tear rolled down her cheek "He didn't know what was going on and the demon killed him. My parents found out about the pills and we moved away because the demons knew where we were"
"Oh wow I'm sorry" I said
"Thanks, Where do you live?" She asked.
"Follow me" we walked over to my house. "Wow this is a nice house" She said. "Thanks"
We heard ruffling in the bushes behind us. Lilith turned around quickly.
There in the dark we saw something that I've never seen before! and I was terrified!
