It all began with me agreeing to go on the trip with Allison, My best friend since we were babies.
"Hey, Amelia, cone on you have to come on this trip with me!!! It would be so much more fun if we both went. All of the shops, restaurants and the beaches!! Plus the hotels are like the best there!! Come on, pleasseee?"
I told her I would think about it considering the fact that I've never been on the plane and I'm scared of heights. I told myself I would never get on a plane. Instead, out of all my vacations I've been on, I forced either my family to drive or I simply went by myself. Later that night, I decided to look into tickets and find out how much they would cost. No matter the price, I would still be able to pay for it since I'm an architect and I helped design the newest building in Los Angeles. My co-assistant, John and I decided to name it, the Los Angeles Institute. I know it's basic, but you know what, I'm a simple person. I don't like bling stuff or all the paparazzi on me when I'm walking down the road. I want to have a simple life with my dog, Stew, and not have anyone bother me. I live in a 3 story house, one of the biggest, although I don't know why I even decided to buy it since I live by myself with my dog. I had to put my money to use while I had it. As I looked into the tickets, I realized that at some point in my career, I would have to fly. So I called Allison back and told her I would go as long as she didn't bother me and call me as much.

"Oh my gosh,(squeal), we're gonna have so much fun and we're gonna have a blast. I can't wait. Ohh, don't forget to pack a lot of bikinis and shorts. We'll go shopping tomorrow after you get done working!!"
"Umm, Allison, I don't wear all of the stuff you wear. I mean open your eyes and see. I wear business clothes and you wear like tropical weather stuff. And besides I don't need new stuff and I wouldn't even know what to get at the mall tomorrow because as I just said I don't wear what you wear", I said dramatically. I just had to make her realize I don't want to wear what she wears. Sometimes she wears like really short shorts and really tall heels. Please, if I even tried to wear what she wore, if look probably like a stripper, so no thank you.
"Oh, then no problem, I'll go by myself and I'll pick out stuff a little different than what I wear. I'm just really excited that you agreed to go!!!"
I keep forgetting that we're flying and I get butterflies in my stomach. I tell her to chill and I said good night. I don't know if I can even handle her right now with the amount of designing I have to do tonight and buying the tickets. Ughhh, tomorrow's a busy day and I have to pack in at least 3 days. I might not be a girly girl, but I sure like to take time picking out what I'll bring and all that.
