2--
Beep beep beep-
I groan as I search around for my phone, trying to turn the alarm off.
After about 2 minutes of unsuccessful searching, I drag myself out of bed and finally grab my phone, turning the damn alarm off.
The sun is seeping through the curtains and setting in my eyes making me groan in frustration.
I glance down at my phone while walking towards the closet seeing the reminder that I have that appointment at 11 today.
It's 10:15.
Shit.
I throw my phone onto my bed and look through my closet, trying to find something casual but comfy.
After about wasting 5 minutes of no luck, I just go for a pair of leggings and a sweater because I'm late.
I put on everything quickly and hop into the bathroom, brushing out my hair and putting it to one side, nothing fancy. My hair isn't that hard to work with so no flat iron or curling wand needed.
I glanced down at my phone quickly,
10:30
"Shit." I mutter to myself.
I grab a muffin off the counter along with my keys and small bag and make my way out my apartment.
I drive as quickly as I can to the clinic.
But not over the speed limit Because I may or may not have a couple speeding tickets..
I've got about like, 5 minutes so I don't even bother taking the elevator to the 5th floor. I run into the stairway and look up at the amount of flights I have to take.
I regret not participating in gym.
I run up the steps, skipping one step at a time, but by the time I'm at the third flight, I'm already wheezing. I keep moving on and then take one last look at my phone,
10:56
I literally sprint to the front desk, almost running into a couple hotties, reaching the front desk one minute before I was considered late.
"Name please?" The lady says, looking me up and down.
"Um, Elaina White."
She typed in my name into the computer while I took small shallow breaths to calm my breathing.
"You'll be called in a bit." She snaps, giving me a fake wrinkled smile.
I give her a small thank you before turning around and staring at the amount of people crowding the seats. I stood there awkwardly for a minute, trying to find a seat without looking funny or freaking out but, I already have been the minute I turned around.
"Miss, please. Take a seat." The lady at the desk says.
I mutter a small sorry before finding a place next to the wall and someone else.
I quickly take my seat and lay my head against the wall, letting out a sigh.
"First time here?"
I hear someone say beside me.I open one eye and try to look over at the person who just spoke to me. After realizing how pathetic I must look, I fully faced him and took in his features.
He was the tiniest of tan with Asian looking features (but defiantly not) and dark brown short hair peaking out from under his gray beanie and giving me an impish grin. He was about my age, maybe a year or two older and had headphones in.
I let out a small laugh and shook my head up and down,
"Yeah, almost a bit late actually. And you? Is it your first time?"
He shook his head while taking out his earbuds and pausing his music.
"Nah I've been here a couple times, but I'm always late."
We let out a small laugh, not wanting to bother anyone else since it was so quiet in here.
"Names Calum." He said holding out his hand.
"Um I'm Elaina." I said while awkwardly shaking his hand.
"That's a pretty name, never met anyone who was named Elaina."
He did not just try to pull that one on me.
The way he pronounced my name made me sound like a whole different person. Especially since he didn't even have an American accent.
"Well I've never met an Asian named Calum." I said with a small smirk.
I watched his smile drop and I was about to ask why until I heard my name being called.
"Elaina White?" I heard coming from the front.
I quickly got up before I felt something grab my wrist. I turned around to find Calum giving me a small pout.
"I'm not Asian damnit."

Hai guys!
This chapter was probably cheesy but I wanted to introduce Calum quickly since he is a big part of the story
Love you all and don't forget to comment and vote!
