3--

I make my way through the narrow hallways , sending a small smile to everyone I pass by.

I was trying not to lose myself behind the nurse who was walking so quickly in front of me, it was like she's getting chased by someone or something.

After minutes of walking, which seemed to feel like we were going in circles, we reached a door at the end of a hall and to be honest, it just looked like the rest of the building. I don't see why she couldn't have left me in a room much closer to the exit.

"Please, sit down." She said motioning to the stretcher.

I hoped right up and crossed my legs, swaying them back and forth. After a while I started to realize that the nurse was getting annoyed with the fact my boots kept banging against the wall.

But I kept doing it anyway cause who gives a fuck.

"So Elaina, it's your first time here right?"

"Um yeah." I wasn't comfortable with having to come here alone, it was always way easier to have my mom here, mainly cause she answered everything.

"And why is that?" She said leaning against the counter.

I let out a sigh, I felt embarrassed when it came to talking about my nightmares.

"I um, have recurring nightmares." My palms were sweaty and she slightly shook her head while jotting something down.

"Okay and anything else besides that?"

I shook my head no and she just wrote something down before pushing off the counter and heading towards the door.

"Okay, the doctor will be with you soon."

She walked out the door and left me in the small room alone. I looked around, everything was white and the room was small, with a plush cream colored bean bag in the corner and the stretcher I was sitting on in the other. The small counter was white along with a stool sitting beside it. I peaked under my stretcher and found some magazines on the latest gossip of celebs and that kind of stuff.

I went to grab for a magazine when I heard the door open. I sat straight back up again, banging me hand against the bottom of the stretcher.

"Ouch."

"Hello Elaina, I'm Doctor Renolds, I'm here to help you with your um," He peered at the clipboard in front of him, "ah yes, recurring nightmares."

He gave me a small smile before sitting down on the small stool.

"I've dealt with many patients before who have had the same problem so do t worry you're not alone."

I never said I felt like that.

"So what go's on with your nightmares."

He laid back crossing his legs. His blue eyes settled on me and he was constantly running his fingers through his short brown hair. He looked about 25, maybe even 30, and he just kept sending chills down my spine. What was I supposed to do when there's an incredibly handsome older man alone in a room with you?

I cleared my throat and put my hands behind me, leaning back on them.

"Well I'm either in a car or on my bike.. Somehow I'm just always on the road. It's always either raining or something that blocks my view completely from seeing and it all feels really real. I try to always move whatever's blocking my view and when I do, a car hits me."

He nodded his head while running his fingers through his hair as if thinking.

"So this is always the same, everyday? Or do you only get this some nights?"

"Um every night."

What do you think repetitive dreams mean?

"Okay, so have you had any past traumatic experiences involving a car crash?"

"Not any that have been traumatic but I was in one when I was 5." I say.

He gets out of his seat and goes over to the counter my medical file is and opens it up, taking out his pen.

"Well this is pretty unusual for someone to have such..elaborate dreams when no traumatizing experiences have happened..but I will do my best to look over your other medical files and see what could be the case."

He gives me a small smile while writing down something on a small piece of paper and then handing it to me.

"For now I think you should just try relaxing, it may be a side affect of stress but I would not recommend taking sleeping pills, it would only cause the dreams to become worse."

I nodded my head and gave him a quick thank you and hand shake before heading out the door. I followed the signs that directed me back to the front desk and scheduled my next appointment. When I walked out into the waiting room, I looked back at where I was sitting before, but Calum wasn't there.

I mentally laughed to myself and facepalmed because I called him Asian when apparently he wasn't. I feel really bad now.
