Tired limbs

Isn't it funny that we humans pride ourselves on being the most powerful life force yet our lives are extremely fragile. It's weird that we are one of the only mammal species who kill our own kind. Whether it's murder or war, everyone has a motive to end a life. Life. Four letters, even the word seems small, weak. The concept that you could have yours ended with one wrong move. As I'm writing this there are several different ways I could end my own:
Suffocate myself with a pillow
Gouge out my eyes with my own fingers
Smash a light bulb and eat it
Stab myself with a pen
Etc.

Maybe it's not life that's fragile, but rather us. We are fragile. We aren't strong, we are weak. We choke down these ideas that we are invincible and in control of our lives so that we can sleep at night. We run away from death and tragedy, but we're just running backwards, forever rushing toward the end. We convince ourselves that we can run away from the end, when in reality we can only prolong the amount of time we have here.
That being said, make the most of it. You never know when you'll be too tired to keep running.
