The ride going home was quiet. Too quiet.

It was a chilly Tuesday afternoon and the sky is incandescent in color. It's that kind of weather where you just want to curl up in bed and just sleep. My dad was the one driving, and my mom fell asleep beside me in the backseat. From time to time, I had to adjust my position so that her head on my shoulder would be comfortable while she was snoring away.

I took a glance outside through the car window and began testing the words inside my head.

Heart Attack...Fatal...

I briefly held my chest and closed my eyes. Oh, I just don't know how to deal with this. It's like a tidal wave washed over me in just one big hit, and boom! Everything has changed. Just like that.

"Can you put some music on? The silence is killing me." I blurted out softly, finally breaking the ice. Dad sneaked a glance at me. "Sure, kiddo." He gave me a small smile and then Nelly's "Dilemma" was playing softly through the car speakers. I shoot my eyebrows up in surprise.

What makes me amused is that, he was actually humming along. I grinned. "Wow, dad. I never knew you were a Nelly kind-of guy." He laughs at my remark and continued humming along. He's so cool.

When we reached our house, I patted mom's shoulder to wake her. She rises up and got out. Opening the car door, I saw my dad on the side and reached over for me. I hesitated. "No dad, it's fine. I got this." I winked at him and gave an assurance smile. He lets me. That's one cool thing about him. He understands what I want to do and what I feel but still, he watches over me.

As I unlock the front door and strode down the hallway, I felt a little uncomfortable. Something's not right here, I thought. Reaching the living room almost tiptoeing, I stopped on my tracks.

Oh My God.

Sam was there, sitting on the couch. But obviously, that's not why I was surprised. She was with someone!

A guy's arm was wrapped around her shoulders carressing it. Their backs were facing me but I can see half of their faces from my angle. Then he suddenly leans forward towards her, their noses almost touching, and...and... they were about to kiss!

My eyes widened in shock. I swear their faces were about a millimeter apart. But much to my very poor timing, the guy already gave a chaste kiss on her lips.

Oh God, spare my eyesight.

Not bothering to ruin their "little" moment, I cleared my throat loud enough them to hear. Can you blame me if I cannot fathom to watch my dear, little sister having a make out session inside our house?!

Both of them jumped in surprise, releasing each other and swiftly darted their eyes to me.

"God, George! What the hell are you doing here?" She asked in astonishment and then palms her chest. I raised my eyebrows and crosses my arms amusedly.

"Well, the last time I checked, this was my house." I replied and glimpses at the guy who has a glint of guilt in his eyes. "Oh, I didn't know you were coming home today. How are you anyway?" She asked sheepishly, her voice laced with distraction.

I know she's trying to change the subject at hand. Instead, I remained quiet and avoided her question. Awkwardly, I pouted my lips pointing to the guy whose head was now bowed down, due to extreme embarrassment for sure. Sam got my message and looked at me feeling ashamed. "This is...Um this is K-Kyle...My uhm..."
