{Chapter 3}
***Ryan's POV***
The head police officer firmly said,"Last time I checked I was reported to handcuff an individual that had used an unneccesary fire arm, not to break up a ridiculous neighboorhood fued! Would anyone like to explain to me how it makes my job any easier, huh? Exactly, I'm glad you see where I'm coming from! Now I highly suggest if you aren't a witness to head home and allow me to handle it."
Damn. He sure knows how to put them in their spots.
I sat on the step of my porch with my head placed on the palms of hands watching the already gathered group of embarrased neighbors dispersing to their homes. He made his way to me and kneeled to ask if I were willing to be interviewed which I answered,"Sure but I don't know how much help I'll be though. I didn't really get a good look at the man."
He nodded and continued, "Do you have any idea who he was aiming the gun at?"
"Not exactly. I was asleep when I woke up to the gun shooting."
"Can you describe what he was wearing?"
"He wore all black that blended in with the night sky."
"How about what'd he looked like?"
"He was probably five foot nine. And built enough to determine that he was a man. His fendora barely covered his gray eyes though. I can't get anymore specific than that."
"Has this occured before?"
"No. It's pretty quiet around these parts. A couple of robberies but that's pretty much it."
"Were there any signs of break in within your house?"
"Not that I know of."
"Fill in your full legal name and phone number here," he said whilst pointing at the highlighted part of the form. I finished just when he guestured with his hand for his partner to come over. "Alright, kiddo. If anything else comes to mind that you forgot to mention, please notify us," the head police officer told me. "Rob, I got the weapon but it's not a registered gun," his partner blurted while holding up a plastic baggie with the gun inside. Rob gives the clearly new officer a cautious look that withhelds him from sharing anymore information. "Damien, that's why we have fingerprints," he retorted back with a mocking tone.
I saw the man wearing black gloves. Does that interfere with the inspection of the only evidence they have?
Before I can mention the gloves both police officers took off to fight more crimes in the name of justice.
