Niall and I stand together in the hallway, greeting people that are coming in through the door. He invited half the school to come down here. It's quite impressive how half of our school would even drive three and a half hours just to go to a party but I mean, it's a Niall Horan party and no one ever misses a Horan party. A group of college girls comes through the door, stumbling forward. They must've been drinking beforehand.

"Julia!", Niall shouts, walking forward, taking a beautiful dark red haired girl into his arms.

"Niall, my boy!", she shouts, hugging him back.

I just continue greeting people, hugging some, as they go in for a hug, others I just shake hands with. Then, I see Cameron walk in with some flowers and a card in his hands. He comes walking to me with a smile on his face. As soon as he's in front of me, he holds out the flowers and the card for me.

"Happy birthday", he says.

I thank him, setting the flowers and the card on the table with the presents. He hugs me quickly. I smile a bit, seeing Niall behind Cameron, being held in a deep conversation with this girl called Julia.

"So, how does it feel to be 17?", he asks, chuckling slightly.

"Normal, I guess", I smile.

"Good, so, do you have any good drinks here?", he questions me.

"Yeah, Jake is at the improvised bar in the kitchen. Just tell him I send you and he'll give you something nice."

He nods, leaving me. Niall soon comes back to me, Julia by his side. Her beautiful dark red hair frames her skinny face.

"Julia, this is Violet, the other birthday person", Niall smiles at her.

I look down at her hand, as it reaches out for me. She has a cane in her other hand. Might she be blind?

"Happy birthday. It's nice to meet you, Violet", Julia speaks.

I take her hand, shaking it lightly.

"Nice to meet you, too", I say.

She has empty eyes, almost being a little glassy. I look at Niall, as he points to her eyes.

"So, Julia, would you like something to drink?", Niall asks her.

"Yeah, sure. I'll find someone to bring me there. I don't want the birthday kids to have to take care of me", she says.

She turns around to the group of girls she came in with. They leave the room to get some drinks. I look at Niall, giving him a questioning look.

"Julia is a friend of Amy. She took my virginity when she wasn't blind. I know that she's three years older than me but she was going to become blind and wanted to experiment before she actually did", he explains.

"Oh, wow", is all I can say.

"Who was that guy that brought you flowers?", he questions.

"I met him at the skate park yesterday. His name's Cameron. I thought he was nice, so I invited him. Maybe we'll end up sleeping with each other tonight but I don't care", I answer.

"Just be careful, Violet. I don't know him but he seems like a dick."

"That comes from you?", I laugh lightly.

"Okay, that's true again", he chuckles with me.

I feel his hand go down to touch my back from beside me. He almost goes too low for my liking but honestly, I couldn't care less. We continue greeting people around the house but half an hour later, we're both getting drunk with the others. I said I would only have one drink but I think I changed my mind. Niall is currently talking to Wesley, whispering in his ear. I'm dancing with Mere and Riley. Luke and Mia disappeared a few minutes ago. They probably went upstairs. Mia sometimes has problems with crowds of people.
