"Aahhh! Why is it so tight? Oh Narnia! I can hardly breathe."
Well I can't help. This dress is so tight.

'Knock knock'

Without even thinking that I wasn't completely dressed I said
"Come In."
Thank Narnia! It was the the maid.
"Princess can I help you?"
"Yes please. The neck of this dress is too high."

I don't know why but I could see a ghost of a smile on her face. I raised an eyebrow at her and her answer to my gesture was -
"Your highness, you are wearing it   wrong."
"What?"

I turn around to look at the mirror and realise that she was right. I had worn the back of the dress in the front. No wonder she wanted to laugh. I probably was sleeping when the brains were being distributed.

"Ugh", I say aloud.

"Let me help you with it."

I pass a sincere smile. The next few minutes were a blur but all I know was that when I looked into the mirror I was definitely stunned.
The dress fitted perfectly.

I was speechless

I was speechless. This lady had obviously put a lot of effort to do my hair and had given me a makeover.
"Wow! Thank you so much. "

"This is your inner beauty, I did nothing."

"Is there any chance that you cast a spell or charm?"
Okay let's face it. I never thought that I could look so beautiful. It was like she dressed me for my wedding.
But her answer was different:

"No I didn't. But your beauty is definitely the kind to cast a spell."

This woman was definitely trying to flatter me and it was working.
"Are you sure?"

"I am sure that I didn't do so but surely somebody else did. It is the aesthetic spell. It brings out the inner beauty of a person. Don't worry it will wear off after some time. But beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. It is the way you perceive it."

"Well, even if it doesn't wear off it will work for me."

"Are you ready for it?"

I nod my head. But wait, ready for what? Before I can ask her she disappeared into the thin air. I look around but she was nowhere to be found. I hear someone knocking and I open the door.
"Yes," I say.

"His Majesty asked me to help you get ready. But you are already dressed. "

"There's been some mistake. Somebody already came to help me and she dressed me."

"No, your highness. I am the royal dresser and His Majesty had specially asked me to to help you with your clothing."

I ask her to go and close the door. After she leaves I close my eyes to think clearly. I try to remember her face. She was a middle-aged woman. She was plump, had rosey cheeks and blonde hair that were neatly tied in a bun. There was something fishy about her and I was a fool not to figure it out earlier. The way she spoke and her voice was so calm but commanding just like a royal. I had never been so confused in my life. She had disappeared into the thin air. Her choice of words seemed very weird. Like the few sentences she had spoken carried a heavy meaning.

Are you ready for what? Inner beauty? Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder? Way you perceive it?
Her words circled in my head. They seemed like a puzzle. A puzzle that I was determined to solve.
