Welcome to Terracia - The realm of Land. This place is even better than what I had read about. The air of this land was like a new day, fresh and rejuvenating. With every breath it felt as if you inhaled life. Nature hummed a beautiful melody with all the distinct sounds. The greenery that surrounded me was a pleasing sight to my eyes.

I walked into a palace with Ryder by my side. Even though I hadn't known him for long, I had found a friend and a brother in him. He was beginning to feel like a brother that I never had but always wanted. Somebody that I could rely on. Somebody who would keep me safe.

The insides of the palace were nothing like I had seen in Aquatatia. It looked as if a whole forest had grown inside the palace. But it was beautiful in a way. As me and Ryder walked through the corridoors I gawked at the the beautiful paintings and antiques that decorated the walls of the palace. Finally, we stopped in front of two enormous oak doors that concealed whatever that lay beyond them. As if on cue the doors opened magically to reveal a large courtroom. The chairs that were placed in rows had men and women which held power. But one man was differentiated from all of them not only by the throne he sat on but due to the halo that surrounded him. Everthing seemed dull in his comparison. He looked old yet powerful. He had long white hair and beared. His magnificent green eyes were hidden due to his white bushy eyebrows.

The whole room fell silent as we entered. Ryder bowed and I did the same. I could feel the judgemental eyes of people as they penetrated my back. A shiver ran down my spine as I felt the pressure of their eyes. Thankfully, the king cleared his throat and diverted all the unwanted attention to himself.

"Prince Ryder, to what do I owe the pleasure to have you here? And who is this young lady, may I ask?" The king asked as he turned his attention towards me.

Ryder replied," Sire I come here with a humble request. This is Princess Aquamarine of Aquatatia." he pointed towards me as he spoke. "In the wake of the present circumstances, I have come here to ask you for help. Many of you might not know but the Queen of Aquatatia was taken hostage by the dark forces. The Dark Lord has risen again." Many gasps and cries followed this and the whole room turned upside down. I could feel the fear in people's cries and I could-

"Stop!" The whole rom fell silent as the King's voice echoed in the hall.

"Ryder I am devastated to hear this but I still don't see the reason you come here," The uncertainity in the King's voice was crystal clear.

Ryder started in a firm tone;

"All of us had been searching for a person born of both fire and water. Well, we have found her. It's Aquamarine. All other kingdoms are unsafe right now and I want you and your people to keep her safe until she learns your way of fighting and becomes more powerful. She is our only hope and we cannot lose her."

The commotion in the room started again and the people started talking loudly.

"Is she the incarnation of Narnia? But she looks so young and fragile."

"What if she is lying?"

"Who is her father then?"

Ryder sensed my uneasiness and spoke in my defence, "All of you present here are simply judging her even when you don't know her. She has potential to perform magic that you cannot even dream of. She just needs the right people to help her and I am sure that that right person is King Forrester himself. As for her father, he is king Alan of the fire realm. Her parents hid this for the sakes of their respective kingdoms and her safety. I have said everything that I wanted to say and the final decision lies with the king himself."

The room fell silent yet again and a man stood from his seat and spoke, "If she is what you say she is, why should we keep her here? She is a threat to us. The dark lord will come looking for her and our people will die."

Ryder was getting angry and I could feel it. "Oh really! You consider her to be a threat when the real threat is the Dark Lord and his followers. Believe me when I say she is worth saving and there would be no people, no kingdoms left to save when the Dark Lord is in power. There would only be one thing, that is misery." Ryder's reply left everybody speechless, no one had the guts to contradict him.

The king finally spoke, "Ryder I see that you have proved your point well and I am convinced. but I have one condition- You will stay here with her as her protector. Does anybody have a problem with that?"

The king looked around and then his eyes rested on me. I made eye contact with him and after a few minutes he said to me, "Meadow will show you the palace and you are welcome to stay here."

With this he exited the room.

Ryder and I were taken to our specific rooms to rest and I were to start training from tommorow. I sighed as I lay on the bed waiting for sleep to come and I didn't have to wait for long.

I needed all the sleep I could get so that I could wake up to another day that would be full of judgemental people and testing circumstances.
