Maria’s P.O.V:
I was late on the first day of school already. Not that I wanted to go earlier.
I hurried into the shower and rinsed my body and hair. I got out a pair of jeans with a purple baggy hoodie and my sneakers; I tied my hair into a bun and put on my glasses. I was officially ready for college. I skipped downstairs. Gladly all three friends of mine were already there.
“Hey guys.”
“Hey Ree! ‘Sup Ree! You’re finally awake!” They three spoke at once and burst out laughing. We all had distributed our chores. I was supposed to do the dishes and vacuum the rugs all around the house, Carter was the cook. James was the cars washer, and PJ had to keep our garage and backyard clean. We all had a steamy argument for an hour but this is what we settled on. Carter handed me my bowl of cereal and milk, and I hungrily ate, without tasting it and grabbed my cars keys and thanked James for washing it. “Ree It’s my duty from now on.” He said rolling his eyes. I put the key in the ignition and started it up. My mini cooper roared and I put Jennifer Lopez’s CD in and raised the volume. I drove into our college. I took a deep breath but once I got out of the car I had the images of the bumping into the British guy. Man, his eyes were so attractive, his smirk was so handsome. But I don’t even know him. I thought as I walked into the administration’s office here.
“Welcome Miss. How may I help you?” The blonde receptionist said to me.
“Hi. I’m Maria Fernandez! May I receive my schedule and classes?” I asked with a forced smile.
The receptionist scowled as she looked at her flat screened computer. Then she nodded in agreement, when the glass door opened and in he came, the British boy I bumped into, there he was again! Could this be a coincidence? I tried to smile and he just stood there smiling like an idiot as well. He turned to the receptionist.
“Jared Hudson.” He said still looking at me. So his name was Jared. Cool name I thought a smirk on my face. The receptionist handed me a sheet and I turned to leave.
Jared’s p.o.v:
I saw her again. I stood there, looking after her, so she was here in this college, huh? Well, I’ll soon get to know her. The receptionist cleared her throat and I blushed at my timeless daydreaming.
“Do you know her?”
“No.” I said disappointed that I really didn’t.
I walked or rather sprinted as I wanted to really catch up with her.
“Hey wait up!”
She looked back and smiled.
“Hi! I guess we met again!” She said. Whoa, her voice was so nice.
“Yeah, I didn’t really expect you to be here.”
“I’m just starting today.”
“Oh, I just moved out of Bradford and came here with a few friends. Oh and I’m Jared Hudson. You must be Ree.”
“Excuse me?” She raised her eyebrow.
“Isn’t that your name?”
“Umm, it’s my nickname, and only my best friends can call me that. My name is Maria.”
“Oh. I’m sorry, Maria, I guess we’re getting late for class.” I said looking at my watch. She blushed and hurried down into nowhere.
