Maria’s P.O.V:
He wanted to talk to me! But he called me Lee! I cleared my mind and found an empty seat. I pulled out my book and opened it. I suddenly jumped when someone placed a bag next to me. I looked up to see Jared. A smirk on his face. My heart melted at the thought of him sitting next to me.
“Hey Maria. I didn’t know our first class was together.” He grinned.
“Yeah. I didn’t know you were an history fanatic.”
“I didn’t think of you like that either.”
The professor entered and scratched his beard.
“Good Morning, youngsters of California. I welcome you to your first semester at Sutton International America. The class erupted into applauds.
Now let’s start with our first passage of this semester, which is all directed towards The Civil War.”
The lecture was very smooth, and I noted down every single point that our professor Collins mentioned, it was just that this extremely mysteriously handsome guy was sitting next to me and he wasn’t even listening to the lecture, he was on his phone god knows doing what. Unfortunately Professor Collins noticed him and marched towards our desk, the rest of the class faced the board. Jared didn’t notice him coming over until when he punched his fist into his desk, which made me and Jared jump and freak out.
“Awake Mr. Hudson?” He asked sarcastically.
Jared swallowed and dared not to say a word.
“Would you like to share what was important than the civil wars?”
“No sir, nothing, I was checking the time.”
“There is a clock right in front of you, you have a wrist watch as well, and do you watch the time for 15 whole minutes?”
“Miss Fernandez?”
“Yes Professor Collins?”
“Were you aware of Mr. Hudson’s inattentiveness.”
“Not at all sir.” I lied. Jared chuckled discreetly.
“Students, people, please these gadgets are the reason of waste of your life. Appreciate that you are teenagers. And use this time to learn about things, no waste time in playing games such as Flappy Bird and stuff.”
“Yeah we should probably learn some biology stuff. That’s helpful” Jared whispered to me. His lips motioned near my ear.
I giggled when I understood what he meant. Just then Professor Collins turned to both of us and motioned his fingers and asked us to stay after class.
