I actually really like Ted and Robin together, even though most people don't.

I think they'd be great together, since Ted has basically been in love with Robin since season one. I mean, it's kinda weird that the story started at the moment he met her. Why didn't it start at the moment Ted met Lily and Marshall? Robin doesn't want to/can't have kids. Ted has two kids though, but they are pretty mature already so she won't have to take much care of them. Also by the time she was gonna marry Barney she repeatedly said things like: "Ted, I should be with you." Also, at the moving out party of Marshall and Lily in one of the last episodes, Robin says: "The guy I should probably have ended up with." when talking about Ted. And as a kid I was a bit of a detective so.. It's pretty obvious to me.

There are some obstacles though, this girl named Tracy, the girl Ted has been trying for more then nine years to find. She's a perfect fit for him, but then she dies. It's sad really. Is it though? Ted would be just as happy with Robin as he would have been with Tracy. Ted and Robin have less in common, but they really love each other.

Tracy shouldn't have died so early though, maybe at age 60 so that Ted would have more time with her, and when Robin and Ted do get together Ted's kids have already moved out and Robin is almost retired.
