Chapter 41 - "No Cooking Rake"

Lilia's POV

I woke up from my nap to a frantic knocking. I covered my face, and yelled, "JUST OPEN IT!" Jeff ran in and picked me up.

"Rake is cooking again!" Jeff freaked out, shaking me. I facepalmed and slapped Jeff.

"Dude! Chill. And put her down would you?" Toby said, a little upset I was yanked from him.

"TOBY!" Jeff screamed, dropped me and jumped on the bed next to him, hugging him. "WE MISSED YOU DUDE!" I laughed, and pulled Jeff away.

"Go stop Rake. I'll be down in a minute." I said, pushing Jeff out the door and shutting it behind him. I turned to Toby and said, "Ready to go see the family again?" He nodded and I helped him out of bed. He almost fell twice walking so I decided to carry him bridal-style, which he objected to. I walked into the living room with Toby. Everyone turned and saw Toby was awake.

"TOBY!" Everyone screamed, and ran towards us, I put a flame barrier around us, and everyone stopped short of the flames.

"He doesn't need you all crowding him. Now, I have to stop Rake from burning the house down." I carried Toby into the kitchen and set him on a stool. "Rake, what did I tell you?" He stepped away from the pan and threw his hands up. The dish went up in flames, I shook my head and capped the flames.

"Sorry...." Rake hung his head. I laughed. I held out my finger and fake scolded him.

"No Cooking Rake!" I smiled, and he hugged me. Toby coughed, death-glaring Rake.

"Oh.... Hey Toby....I...." was all either of us heard before Rake took off running.

"Come on Toby. He's my friend, so is Jeff and Jack is my brother, just like Masky." He sighed and held out his arms. I hugged him.

"You are mine. No one else's. Ok?" I nodded and kissed his nose. He let go and I began to cook dinner. (I skipped her cooking lunch cuz I'm lazy and from now on they make their own lunches unless I'm not lazy, and she was napping at the time.) I managed to salvage what Rake made, letting Smile have it over his dog food. After I started cooking dinner, Rake poked his head back in.

"Lilia? Need help?" He asked, eyeing Toby the whole time. Toby was too busy watching me.

"Can you set the table? It's a special occasion." Toby said, I looked at him funny, then realized he meant his waking.

"Yeah. Do that for me please Rake? And tell the others too?" He nodded and left. I decided, since it was a special occasion, as Toby said, I'd pull out all the stops and cook my best meal. That's exactly what I did. I made the best five course meal, that even a fancy restaurant couldn't beat it.

I went to go check on the family, so I told Rake to go watch Toby for me, which he did. I then went and gathered the Pastas and everyone sat at the table.

Toby's POV

Rake came in a little after Lilia left. "Rake, can you help me out?"

"Sure Tic Tac, what you need?" He asked. I pulled out the ring I got for Lilia for our engagement, and showed him. "Awww! Toby! How do you want me to help?"

"Figure out a way to get it into her food, I can't do anything...." Rake smiled and pet my head.

"I got you kid, give it." I handed him the ring and he hid it somewhere.

"Thanks, I owe you..." The door opened and Lilia came in. "Hey Baby!" I said, too excited.

Lilia's POV

"Hey. Come on; let's get you into the dining room. Rake, don't touch anything!"

Rake laughed as I carried Toby into the dining room and sat him down. I walked back into the kitchen, "Now, help me carry this in." I grabbed food and so did he, and we went to set it down.

"OH WOW!" Sally said. "This looks awesome!" I got a bunch of compliments.

"Well it is a special occasion after all, we are celebrating Toby's awakening from the coma." Everyone clapped and I sat down, in-between Toby and Rake. Slender stood.

"To Toby's safe return to us!" He raised his glass and made a toast. We all toasted and began to eat.

"Rake pass me a roll please." He handed it to me and I opened it to find a ring. "Ok, um... How did a ring get in my roll?" I said, as the table became very quiet. Then I heard a cough, as Toby stood up.

"Lilia , I love you with all my heart and I never want to lose you. Will you marry me?"
