"He doesn't know that you're even taking photos of him, Luke. It's like you're paparazzi or something."

Click.

Luke turned to look at Maggie for just a moment, flashing a shy grin. She rolled her eyes a bit and he couldn't help but laugh just a little. He then turned back around to focus on his subject.

"I'm not paparazzi." Luke uttered as he stared into the viewfinder of his Nikon camera. Click.

"You said that as you took a photo. A bit redundant, don't ya think?"

"I think sometimes you say words without thinking about the meaning. I'm pretty sure the word you're looking for is contradictory. You can thank me later." Luke responded.

"Luke, seriously, I think you're obsessed." Maggie said, reaching to take Luke's camera from him.

"You really think I'm gonna let you touch my baby?" Luke said as he put his camera in his other hand and held it in the air so that Maggie couldn't reach it. Maggie was just a little over 5 feet tall, and Luke was 5 feet and 7 inches, so it was easy for him to make sure she couldn't reach things.

"Luke. How many days have you spent pining over this guy?"

"What exactly does it even mean to pine over someone?" Luke questioned.

"The word pine means to yearn deeply for something or someone, doofus." Maggie said.

Luke scoffed as he slowly brought his camera back down to eye level and looked into the viewfinder again. Click.

"He's so hot." Luke murmured. "That tan. Dear god."

"Luke-"

"OH NO! MAGGIE, HE'S TAKING OFF HIS SHIRT. I DON'T THINK I COULD HANDLE THAT." Luke said dramatically. "I might just die." Click. Click. Click. Click.

"Good. Then maybe you won't be able to stalk some guy with your dumb camera."

"Take that back!" Luke whined.

"You know I didn't mean it, Luke. But, seriously. I think you have enough pictures of him. More than enough, actually." Maggie held out her hand, expecting Luke to hand his camera over.

"Did you not hear me just a minute ago? I'm not letting you touch my baby." Luke clutched onto his camera.

"That's creepy." Maggie said.

"What is?"

"That you call your camera a baby, first of all." Maggie replied.

"There's a second of all?" Luke questioned.

"Uh, yeah. Don't you think it's a little creepy to be taking photos of some guy without him knowing?" Maggie snatched the camera out of Luke's hands, causing a gasp to escape his lips.

"MY CAMERA." Luke crossed his arms in anger. "Besides, 'that guy' has a name."

"You know his name?" Maggie said and Luke nodded a bit. "Damn, you really are a stalker." She added.

"I am not." Luke snatched his camera back out of Maggie's hands when she least expected it. "He's in one of my classes."

"Which class?" Maggie persisted. She knew good and well that Luke would've already mentioned that the guy he basically considered Greek god was in his class.

"Uh, well, I mean." Luke stopped talking when he saw someone walk by. When he knew no one was around to hear them, he continued. "It's more like... across from my class?"

"Uh-huh. I'm sure it is." Maggie said with a chuckle. "How come I've never seen him around, though?"

"Because you're not in his class." Luke said as he turned his camera back on. "Duh."

"In his class? I thought you said that he wasn't actually in any of your classes, and that he was across the hall." Maggie was getting even more curious at this point. Something wasn't adding up, and she demanded answers.

"Um," Luke paused for a moment and lowered his camera. "It's more like... I'm in one of his classes."

"You're in one of his classes? That makes no-" Maggie was then interrupted by her own thoughts. She had just realized what her best friend meant. "Lucas Robert Hemmings, you are in love with your teacher?!"

"Shhhhh. He might hear you." Luke put his hand over the small girl's mouth in hopes to shush her. Only, it didn't work. She just pushed his hand away.

"Do you know how awful that is? He's probably in his 30's. You're 21." Maggie shouted.

"Shhh!" Luke put his hand over her mouth once more. "It's not that big of a deal. He's 25."

"25? How do you even know that?" Maggie questioned.

"I don't know. I guess it kinda just.. came up." Luke said and Maggie couldn't help but shake her head.

"Does Michael know?" Maggie asked.

"Does Michael know what?" Luke replied.

"That you have an insane crush on your teacher, who just happens to be 5 years older than you." Maggie said.

"You're horrible at math, Mags. He's 4 years older than me." Luke turned to look at his friend once more. "And, Michael doesn't have to know about this."

Maggie stood in silence for a moment, shocked that Luke would even say such a thing. "Michael is your boyfriend, Luke. Why would you even say that?"

"Well, Michael just... doesn't pay any attention to me anymore." Luke said with a sigh. "It's almost like I don't have a boyfriend."

"So you're obsessing over your teacher to fill that hole that Michael has left." Maggie said and Luke shook his head a little.

"No. There's no holes. Michael just.. well, we haven't talked in weeks. But, we're still together. And this.. obsession with taking photos of Ca-- umm.. Mr. Hood, is just.. a hobby. Nothing more."

"You're literally standing near the tennis court with a zoom lens just to take photos of your teacher getting hot and sweaty without him knowing. That's just a hobby? Seriously?" Maggie laughed. "That's not just a hobby. It's an obsession, and you know it."

"Okay, I have a problem, I know. But, you make me sound like some freak."

"Luke, you're not a freak. You're just weird." Maggie patted Luke's back a couple times. "But, that's what I like about you."

"What are you doing out here? I thought you hated standing out in the sun." A familiar voice said from behind Luke.

"Michael!" Luke said, turning on his heels to face his boyfriend. "Hi."

"Hey, doll." Michael said and held his hand out for Luke's.

"Question." Maggie said, interrupting Luke and Michael's little moment.

"What?" Michael asked.

"Why the fuck haven't you been talking to your boyfriend? He told me you two haven't talked in weeks. Why would you do that to him?" Maggie said and Luke widened his eyes a bit.

"Maggie, stay out of it." Luke said and Michael sighed a bit.

"I've just been busy." Michael said.

"Too busy to talk to your boyfriend? I mean, seriously, you could at least send a quick text letting him know that you'd be busy and that you love him or something." Maggie glared at Michael as she spoke. She was furious.

"Maggie, drop it." Luke said.

"Michael, if you really cared about Luke, I think you'd at least try to take maybe even just two minutes out of your day to check up on him or some thing."

"Maggie." Luke said sternly.

"What? I'm just saying, that's honestly not how a boyfr-"

"Maggie, I love you, but please just stop talking." Luke begged.
