A/N: Hi all. Even though I said last chapter this was it, I had a relevation. Instead of giving a snippet of the sequel later on. I thought of making this epilogue. It is set a year later. So have fun.
The air briskly blew as high-heeled footsteps graced the corridoors of the Juvinile Delinquent centre. Cole, the recently convicted murderer of Emma Blackwell, was completely baffled in the appearance of his ex-classmate outside his prison cell.
He pushed his now shoulder-length, brown hair away from his face, while his orange jumpsuit looks gigantic in comparison to his tall and lanky figure. Cackling, he finally talks to the girl, while scanning her figure with his eyes.
"Well, you've changed alot since I last saw you."
She laughed, sweetly as you can come across while standing in a breeding ground for criminals. "What do you expect? It has been a year since you were convicted, and that's rich coming from you. I mean, what is going on with your hair? You need some conditioner in that beast, stat."
"What else is different? Besides your attitude and dress sense. How has everyone been since the show-stopping exit?" He asked, suspiciously, judging her her current persona to the greatest extent.
"Well; I figured out that if people hated me for who I once was, I might as well change myself to someone they'll hate even more. Everyone has changed. Well, not exactly everyone; but pretty much all of them are completely different people. Lyra called it quits with James and is now with Blake. Odd. I know. Anyway, Matthew moved back to Chicago and I became a self-proclaimed loner. Anything else you want to know?"
"Why do you think people hated the old you?" He asked less harshly, but more empathetically than previous statments he had made to her. As if he felt almost a little sad and sorry for her.
"You saw how I was treated. By everyone. From when I first moved here to that final, daunting day. I even remember telling the stupid Private Investigator that 'I don’t display much emotion and I probably never will as it is apart of my personality.' You remember how I was Ridiculed? Bullied? Teased? For being the best me I could be. Even the people I thought I could trust. They just abandoned me. Left me there to rot. But, I know Emma wouldn't have treated me that way." She sighed heavily. "I have one final question for you, Cole. Before my Visitation hours are up."
"Shoot. Since it's not like I can walk away, can I?"
"What were your motives in the murder of Emma Blackwell?" He sighed when she let her final words slip. His eyes suddenly dropped to the floor, loosing the eye contact he and his visitor once had. Tears built up in his unforgiven eyes. Cole Jensen, the killer of Emma Blackwell, was feeling remorse of his actions. Not just then. Ever since the crime was commited, he felt absolutely dreadful. But at the same time, being incarcerated made him feel more alive. Being a killer; it gave him a sense of achievement. Slowly turning him more diabolical each day. But, as of this exact time, this exact second, he felt like shit.
He finally up spoke, abruptly. "I guess that is a story for another time. I am sorry, your visitation time is up. If you want to find out, I suggest coming back another time. But next time, I will be setting some ground rules. Got it?" She nodded and started walking off, back down the corridoor she started in. "It was nice to talk to you again. It really was." He yelled down the corridoor, only to be shrugged of by the neglected, young girl. She was a unknown whirlwind of destruction. Unpredictable. The Calm before the storm.
